There is no way anyone could fully explain themselves in a profile so here is my best attempt at a synopsis, with help from my friends....I'm a vivacious, intelligent, honest, independent and drama free red head by choice (the red head part )with good sense of humor can even be a bit shy at first although it doesn't usually last long. My friends say I'm fun to be around, a loyal and caring friend and partner. I'm in a career that I love but not a work-a-holic.Good food, great company and stimulating (or silly) conversation and a light hearted competitive streak spark my interest. I often have a sarcastic and dry sense of humor but I can get as well as I give, I laugh often and usually at myself. I am rarely offended, my friends take great pleasure in ribbing me. I enjoy hearing many opinions even ones I don't agree with, after all that's what makes us individuals and sometimes gives us a little food for thought. I love to cook (one of the things my friends really enjoy about me). I like to be active, exercise regularly but am not obsessed with working out. I enjoy being out and about as well as snuggling close on the sofa with a glass of wine listening to and watching the world, a good thunderstorm or a good movie. I enjoy most music styles with the exception of Rap, the style I'm into really depends on the moment and my mood. Family and friends are important, I love doing the little things that make someone happy. I am comfortable and can enjoy myself in almost any setting whether that be a backyard BBQ in my jeans, a formal night on the town or sporting events (ballet to bull riding and most anything in between, and I do like football), I think it's more about who you are with rather than what you are doing. I am affectionate and passionate with a healthy dash of romantic, grounded enough to live in the real world. I love sailing, own my own sailboat and enjoy most water activities. I love the outdoors with all it has to offer, camping (usually on my boat, but land is good too) and snowboarding are a few I do as often as I can. I enjoy most sports, have played/play a few, there isn't much I wouldn't try and may already enjoy it, very much an adventurous soul. There is far too much I am interested in to possibly list here. I love to try new things, I golfed for the for the first and only time so far 2 years ago and based on my first 18 holes it could end up a love/hate kind of relationship. If you are looking for a delicate wallflower you are reading the wrong profile.My children are grown ***and ***and mostly moved out so I'm ready to concentrate on the next steps of my life....whatever that may bring. If you have young children I do love kids, and they can be great fun but have done my part raising small children so..... I wish you lots of luck with your search but you will need to look elsewhere.Ultimately I am hopeful to someday meet my best friend and life partner, someone who is secure in who they are, has plenty of tolerance and respect for others, that finds life an adventure and is looking forward with a smile and anticipation not behind with regret, who doesn't mind learning new things and is willing to share his passions and adventures with someone willing to learn. Everything beautiful and wonderful about the world is that much better when you have someone special to enjoy it with. I value honesty and kindness most of all.Thank you for reading!     There needs to be a category between "Wants a relationship" & "want to date but nothing serious"....
