HI!!! Thank you for checking out my profile...you won't be disappointed. :-)For the past ***years I have been working as a therapist, mostly in a group practice. I enjoy helping others in every possible way I can, which was the main reason I chose this career. I am an avid animal lover and have had dogs my whole life. When I first went to college my goal was to be a veterinarian, although I soon realized I love animals way too much.I have a wonderful circle of friends and I tend to be more on the extroverted side. I'm easy to get along with...or so I've been told ;-). Exercise is important to me and I get to the gym ***x/week. I'd love to have a workout buddy :-(. From the time I was born the entertainment world has been a huge part of my life. My exposure to music, TV, film and theater was, and still is, of wide variety. In addition to the above interests, I enjoy going to museums, amusement parks, shopping of any kind, and so much more. There isn't much I don't like doing. I love to travel...whether it's a day trip to DC, NYC, a cruise, a long weekend in Vegas, a trip across the country or anything in between. I enjoy seeing and experiencing new places, new activities...especially with that special someone. I love the warm weather and the beach...not much into the cold at all...unless it's for snuggling by the fire with some hot chocolate :-). A perfect first date for me would be one in which we couldn't wait to see each other again. The company is more important to me than the actual activity, so I would enjoy anything if I wanted to be with that particular person.What I'm looking for: a man who is able to communicate his thoughts and feelings, is romantic/affectionate, has a good sense of humor (I love to laugh), is intelligent (but not necessarily book smart) and MUST love animals, especially dogs. I'm looking for someone who enjoys and wants to spend his time with that special someone (me, in this particular situation ;***. Falling in love is easy...staying in love requires work. That's why relationships are often compared to a full-time job, so don't apply if you are not ready -). I have made a lot of friends, both in my department and in outside departments, that I am quite loyal to, would give them the shirt off my back, as I know they would to me as well. I have varied tastes in music, from rock to country, oldies to some rap. My "adult" daughter introduced me to Phantom of the Opera. Never thought I would like opera. I do like that! Guess that indicates that I am willing to try new things. I am always up for a challenge, don't mind getting my hands dirty, born and raised country girl. I am not into drama, I am very low maintenance, in fact, known to be cheap and thrifty. My parents taught me the importance of working hard for your money and spending wisely. Not a shopper! You will not find me sporting a Coach purse, lol. I do like dressing up occasionally, used to wearing scrubs to work, so something different is fun, but just as happy to run around the house all comfy in my Tshirt. I am not on this site to just hook up, so please be honest, if you are bored with the person you have at home, do not contact me, or at least wait until you are no longer living together or the divorce is final. Conversation over a beer, wine, water, meal, or while out walking. I want to get to know you. I am easy going, present your idea, I'm probably up for it.

While I am happy with my career, my home, and my children...I am missing that special someone. I have two wonderful teenage sons and I have no problem dating people with children. I enjoy vacations at the beach or in the mountains, yet anyplace with the right person can be enjoyed.
