About the online dating thing. Although it's fun to peruse profiles and peek into other's thought processes I am not here to waste anyone's time, most of all my own. I do seek a committed relationship with someone who holds similar interests as my own. I'm a no-nonsense kind of girl who likes to wear jeans and t-shirt as well as dressing up once in a while. It is my norm to adapt to any situation and not make a big deal out of nothing. Being able to laugh through things and know when to be serious are great traits to have.I do not date inter-racially, please don't ask why.If I do not repspond, thank you, I am flattered and good luck with your search.I am definately NOT Ms. Right-now so if you are looking for a quickie or one-nighter, keep looking.I am looking for someone to start out as friends first, get to know one another and see if potential exists for more. I have a son who means the world to me and lives at home with me. Fitness ranks quite high with me so no couch potatoes need apply. I enjoy roller blading, sand volleyball, bike riding, frisbee, tennis and racquetball. Game on, lol.It would be nice to talk on the phone once we are comfortable. I am not looking for texting buddies, pillow talk or simple picture-sharing. It would be nice to find someone who is comfortable in his shoes and knows when to laugh both at himself as well as the world around him.-rounded who can carry a good conversation. Any place quiet to get to know one another without distraction.

When not working at a job I love and have tons of fun at.. I am enjoying hiking and exploring the local areas, and cant wait to be introduced to the AT.In my spare time I still sew, create jewelry and exploring the many new trails and parks the area has to offer. Meanwhile I like to read almost any genre; Historical Biographies, Science Fiction, anything that sounds engaging.I also do some sewing and crafting to occupy my extra free time, when I have it. I do not sit idle very well. I have learned to keep my goals simple and attainable, currently it’s me time, but not an egocentric way. I want to meet great people, hang out and build a relationship, explore, and do things with a willing and adventurous partner who likes to laugh and doesn't mind being told how it is, and can answer honest queries without being offended. As I mature, I find the simple things are what make the moment. Not an expensive meal (It’s nice to impress) but even a cup of coffee and a cruise through the park. It's all about who you are with and not what you are doing. A good conversationalist rates higher in my book than dinner, dancing, and a movie. Wait I can't dance.... We would defiantly need an ice breaker to see if we would like to explore more in-depth. A walk in the park, cup of coffee, somewhere we could get to know each other. Then If all go well we can go on a fun adventure. Here is a brain teaser........... Olny 55% of pepole can raed tihs. I cdn'uolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. I suppose like just about everyone else who tries this online dating thing, I never quite know what to say about myself without sounding cliche. So I'll try to be original and clever without sounding too lame or boastful... I grew up in a family with a great sense of humor, so I can take a joke at my expense...but I have to warn that I deliver a lot of them too. I'm the middle child, which I think has shaped me into someone who's easy to get along with (often having assumed the role of "peacemaker"), and am a firm believer in not sweating the small stuff. I changed careers several years ago from that of an accountant to pharmacist, and love my [relatively] new career. That said, I value my personal relationships (e.g., family/friends) far more than my work. I consider myself fairly new to the area, but since it's now been over 6 years I suppose I'm close to earning veteran status in this transient town. I still enjoy doing a lot of the touristy activities around DC, like the museums and especially checking out the monuments at night. I'm a music lover, (but sadly have no talent for it myself) and love going to concerts of just about any kind. I enjoy cooking and baking, but true to my Italian heritage I seem to always make enough to feed an army...and cooking for myself is just not that fun...I am not looking for anyone of a specific educational background or someone who makes a certain salary. . I am looking for someone who is interesting (and I think lots of different things make people interesting...yes, things like education and travel are a couple of them, but they are certainly not the ONLY things), has a good heart, and can make me laugh.
