With so many choices it feels like speed dating. People come and go so quickly(myself included), but the grass isn't always greener on the other side; and it's hard to slow down and get to know people here. When you look harder, you realize that there may be endless profiles but very few people have real chemistry. I’ve learned that there are a lot of really great guys out there. Women whine all the time about the good guys being gone. It’s just not true. But just because there are two really good single people, doesn’t mean that they are right for each other. So, maybe I do believe in soul mates. Nah, that’s hogwash! I definitely believe in chemistry though. “Good” just isn’t good enough. There’s gotta be that spark that can turn into a flame. When there are so many good guys out there, maybe that’s a selfish thought to wait for that spark, IDK, but I’m in no hurry. The heart wants what the heart wants.However, distance is a big deal for me. It's too hard to have a successful relationship when you never get to see each other, and I'm not willing to torture myself like that :( And you've really gotta be able to keep up. Nothin' worse than looking back and thinking, "Now where the heck did he go? Did he get lost, hurt, distracted, give up? Was he trying to check out my butt and fell off his scooter? Will & Grace might be my favorite sitcom of all time; FRIENDS would be second.Now, I am being totally honest here; I don't date outside of my race, but would date a Hispanic. I prefer Italians, it's what I am and understand, but have dated "white guys" since my divorce. (When I say "white guys", I mean NON-Italians. LOL) Does that make me a racist? NO, it means I know what I want (or like), and that's it. I don't date women either, but that doesn't make me a homophobe. I currently attend a non-denominational church that has a large following of Catholics (or former Catholics, you might say). I was raised catholic, but do not agree with 100% of the church's opinions. I believe in same-sex marriage and I am pro-choice. (For now) Okay, I'm finally on my laptop and can really update this profile.I want someone who is as IN love with me as I am with them. Someone who thinks of me first thing in the morning, and last thing at night, because if they're that special to me, I'll be thinking of them at those same times, as well as during the day, but you know what I'm getting at here.No alcoholics, drug addicts, or ex-cons. If you have nice teeth, it's a huge plus! (people with bad teeth are a turn-off for me)I still love to go out dancing, though I havent done it in a LONG time, unless you count the weddings I've been to. Saw the Zac Brown Band last year, and wanted to see Kenny Chesney, as well as Keith Urban, but didn't. I can appreciate old rock now (70's & 80's stuff), though i was totally a disco girl back then (still kinda am - LOL)I love going to sporting events in-person; hockey, baseball, basketball. I've only been to one football game, back in the early-80's, and I kind of enjoy those better on TV. Replays and sportscasters' recaps were what I missed while AT the game.I love to read, though havent in a few years. Read a lot of King, Grisham, and Koontz. I love movies, but not so much horror movies. I can only watch those in the middle of the day when there is sunlight and PLENTY of time in-between before i go to bed, otherwise I won't be able to sleep.I'm hoping to get into running this week. I'm going to an informational meeting to see what the commitment is, etc. I'd like to lose about 20 pounds, as well as get into better shape. I used to have a trainer for weightlifting, and I wish i could still afford it because it did wonders with my back and core muscles.One last thing, I do not give my phone number out very easily. I need to get to know you via these messages before I go to that next step. Coffee for sure. I'm a DD fan, so it wouldn't have to be Starbucks, tho I like their ambience for a first meeting.
