Woman. 41 years old. Zodiac sign: Pisces.
Looking for: man. In age: 38-48
I am recently divorced and not quite ready for husband #2, but seeking a best friend who is spontaneous, adventurous and fit. I love the witty banter than ensues in a new relationship and hope that you can understand my sarcasm and quick wit. I tend to be attracted to men that have a little swagger and know a thing or two about the world, wine and a woman. Please know the proper use of their/there/they are -- don't mean to sound trite, but as the daughter of a teacher, I appreciate intelligence and grammar (consideration is taken into account for iPhone autocorrect - can be so annoying :))As a single mom and busy executive, my children are the #1 priority in my life, so one needs to understand that I may have to miss a dinner for a school concert or a dance recital. Would love to meet a special man that could take me to new places, both literally and figuratively. I am passionate about many things in life such as good causes, healthy living, the Arts, my friends and family, technology and my bucket list is overflowing with experiences and places that I wish to visit.

I suppose like just about everyone else who tries this online dating thing, I never quite know what to say about myself without sounding cliche. So I'll try to be original and clever without sounding too lame or boastful... I grew up in a family with a great sense of humor, so I can take a joke at my expense...but I have to warn that I deliver a lot of them too. I'm the middle child, which I think has shaped me into someone who's easy to get along with (often having assumed the role of "peacemaker"), and am a firm believer in not sweating the small stuff. I changed careers several years ago from that of an accountant to pharmacist, and love my [relatively] new career. That said, I value my personal relationships (e.g., family/friends) far more than my work. I consider myself fairly new to the area, but since it's now been over 6 years I suppose I'm close to earning veteran status in this transient town. I still enjoy doing a lot of the touristy activities around DC, like the museums and especially checking out the monuments at night. I'm a music lover, (but sadly have no talent for it myself) and love going to concerts of just about any kind. I enjoy cooking and baking, but true to my Italian heritage I seem to always make enough to feed an army...and cooking for myself is just not that fun...I am not looking for anyone of a specific educational background or someone who makes a certain salary. . I am looking for someone who is interesting (and I think lots of different things make people interesting...yes, things like education and travel are a couple of them, but they are certainly not the ONLY things), has a good heart, and can make me laugh.
