I think that, as long as you surround yourself with good people, the more people that love your kids, the better!Career wise - I'm a freelance bookkeeper/accountant/mortgage processor. That makes my time really flexible! I can meet for a weekday lunch, or an afternoon rendezvous, that just means I'll have to burn the midnight oil later to make up for it.
