About Me

"wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death. . . it reveres authenticity above all" - tadao andoBeing a wabi-sabi woman in our American culture can be a challenge. My mother has always told me, "It's not so much that people change, but that they become more truly who they really are." The experience of authenticity, for me, is much more a process of uncovering, that discovering. Lofty words, right? But what does it really mean? My path is the process of figuring that out.I love to read. I love to follow my curiosity down twisting paths of research. I love to combine science, nature, literature and daily experiences into syncretic creations that I can share with clients and congregations. I love to public speak. I love to laugh and have a truly obnoxious appreciation of puns. I love my parents and enjoy long conversations with them both, on a weekly basis. I LOVE my kid! She is the most amazing person I have ever met and has taught me more about how to practice authenticity, in the past 8 years, than I could have imagined possible. I love being a mother and all the opportunities to become a better person that if presents. I love the intense aliveness that I experience when I am intimately connecting with people. I love to listen to people's stories about what is real for them, what makes them come alive, regardless of what that is. Enthusiasm is a huge turn on for me. I have been losing my hearing since I was 5 years old and am now almost completely deaf. I have phenomenal speech-reading skills, and most people would never know how hearing impaired I am. My hearing loss leads to some of my most contradicting realities. I love music, but can't understand lyrics. This may be why most of my favorite music is either world or ***, although I am an avid fan of classic rock. Oh, and the blues - that's a wabi-sabi thing, for sure. I love to listen to people, but often I hear more of what is not being said and that can offend some people. A lot of people hide behind their words, not realizing how much their body language is giving away. Because of the energy it takes, I am not a fan of small talk. I'd rather sit in silence with someone than exchange banalities. I value face-to-face communication above all else, but have a kid-on-Christmas-morning love for technology, too. Texting and FaceTime rock! Good God, I have no idea how to answer this. So much would depend on you! I love to learn and experience new things, and since enthusiasm is such a turn on for me, I can imagine that sharing something you wildly enjoy would work. I can imagine that meeting for coffee or frozen yogurt, over a game of Scrabble or Clue, could be fun. I love taking long drives and motorcycle rides. I really enjoy DIY projects and power tools. I enjoy boating and being on or near the water. I love hiking and discovering new places. I also enjoy cooking (and eating), as well as watching others cook.

Woman. 38 years old. Zodiac sign: Cancer.

Looking for: man. In age: 35-45

I'm a single, sassy, sexy girl just looking to have fun without any sort of games and drama and BS!! I love to do a multitude of things and am very outgoing and always up for trying new and fun things.I'm looking for someone to spend quality time with both in and out of the bedroom. No game players, no married or attached men and someone who is self sufficient and knows what they want and how to get it :) I do have to be honest so as to not cause any misconceptions... I am only looking for African American men. Sorry and I mean no offense but a girl knows what she likes !!!

Woman. 36 years old. Zodiac sign: Gemini.

Looking for: man. In age: 33-43

Size 14, since some of you just have to know. I'm lapbanded, ask if you don't know what that means. I love taking my dog for a walk, or to a dog park. I'm super duper chatty! I mean very talkative, which can be very annoying and I tend to dominant a conversation (sorry).I don't like being told what to do, but suggestions are ok, I always tell my friends to plant the seed, and I might consider it.I would prefer you to be: Actually single and looking for a relationship, Intelligent, honest(if your not into me when me meet, you can say so, I'm not gonna fall to pieces), driven (a little agressive), funny, romantic, kind, good manners(I like the door opened), tallish (5'9";pepper hair, open-hearted and cherishes and appreciates me in every way. And, please stop asking if I date black guys, that is so weird, race doesn't matter. You might notice my other profile on here, vixenmh, feel free to read it too, it's very similiar. I am not HWP. I'm not to picky, a quick meet and greet is fine. If you don't call later, thats fine too. However, if we talk or text, and never meet, I will probably forget about you, seriously, some of you think I'm making this up, but I'm not. If we never meet up and I will delete you fast, I'm not here to waste your time or mine.WARNING: Any *** individuals using this site or any of its associated sites for studies, projects, advertising, sales, or any other reason-you DO NOT have permission to use any of my profile or pictures in any form or forum both current and future. A little about me:I value my family and my friends and look for the same in other people. I enjoy many things. Reading, camping, going to the beach or the mountains. I'm looking for good people to add to my life. The right person for me will be open, honest, passionate, love kids and want to have a good time whether it's just hanging out or planning a night out. Lately I've been realizing that I want more out of life than just dating to see what's out there. I'm in a good place in my life. I have a comfortable home, a great kid and a career that I love. Now it's time to add someone to the mix that wants to work toward building a happy life together. Am I crazy to think that there is a man out there that won't play games, will do what he says he's going to do and not have some crazy fear of commitment? Maybe...but I'm hoping there are still at least one or two out there :) Are you one of them? like I said, I'm pretty laid back. Start with meeting for a drink, see if we want to make it to dinner. As long as it's somewhere that we can talk and get to know each other, I'm good.We can save the walks on the beach for the next couple of dates...
