I would describe myself as a kind, passionate, and unique person who is very down to earth and practical. I used to be a hippie in my previous life, but now living a pretty settled life. Lived in several states; moved around for college and teaching. Originally from the South. I am passionate about music and love to sing and can play guitar a little. I also like the Dalai Lama's work including The Art of Happiness, Ishamel, books on past lives, books by Chuck Klosterman, especially Killing Yourself to Live, Wild by Cheryl Strayed, etc. I read mostly non-fiction, especially biographies. Currently, I am reading the book, Outliers. I love, love movies! Classics include Shawshank Redemption, I am Sam, The Outsiders, Dead Man Walking, Into the Wild, Do the Right Thing, and so many more. As far as music, I love a whole range of artists. Blige, Adele, etc. I really love 90s alternative. What can I say, I am a GenXer. It would be nice to get to know someone and get together for a movie, concert, or dinner. For a first meeting, I think something casual like a bookstore or coffee shop is best.

Never quite sure what to say on these things. I have 2 amazingly awesome kids. I have a great job that I love and I am blessed with great family support. I love the outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, dancing/drinks, watching basketball and football . I'm a pretty down to earth kind of person with a big heart and a lot to offer the right person. I'd like to think that I'm an open book, I have nothing to hide. I may have made some mistakes along the way, but I am proud of the woman that I have become.
