~~ My favorite time of year is here and that means I'm doing some renovating and updating of my profile! ~~ First, bonus for those who know my headline reference. I'm impressed. Second, while I am definitely looking for the right match, I do not need to find someone to fill a spot in my life. It is most important to me to find the right person - my mate. My life is quite blessed and full with family, friends, and a career I love. I want to share this with the right person and I am willing to be patient to find him. Now, on with the part that everyone hates and always comes across as canned, stuffy, snobbish, or downright boring. Let's see if maybe I can make mine a little unique. The line in "; says it best, I'm there and it's great, but I come home and this fits too. Give me blue jeans and country and I'm just as happy. I am a "water baby" by nature. I love lakes and the ocean - swimming any chance I can get. My favorite places are all around the water - The rest? ~ I love dogs & kids, but I only have one of the former. He's great. ~ Books & Teavana are more addictive to me than any kind of food (yes, even chocolate).~ I love to travel (even unplanned day trips) & learning new languages is a necessity to me (I'm working on language #4 now). ~ I'm a historical & contemporary political wonk (foreign & domestic policies). ~ Music & cooking are more relaxing than yoga - but ballet is my go-to when life & work get really stressful. ~ I don't like flowers but I do like plants. ~ I like baseball & (Euro) football (aka "soccer") & high school (American) football - My heart bleeds NY blue - Yanks & Mets). I even like to kick a football around the pitch every once in awhile (bonus if you'll get out there with me & teach me more about the beautiful game!) ~ I like to work on cars & play with power tools (yes, I said that).That's the short list. As I said before, I'm more than the answers to a form.
