Hello Thanks for dropping in to read about me ;)Well....this online dating scene is still a bit of a bizarre concept for me. After giving it a lot of thought, and seeing as though I very rarely get out I figure that I may as well face this unknown and take a chance. I (and you) never know...Why don't I get out? Music........jazz, hip hop, reggae, folk .....and anything with a good beat or a little bit of ambiance :). Staying healthy, and the feeling that I get after working out. Shiraz. Playing and writing music. Appreciating movies. Pondering and feeling glimpses of interconnectedness. Dancing barefoot in the grass under the stars (It's been a long time). Sustainability. Traveling to foreign countries. Beaches :)Why am I unique? Well....because I am... as we all are. I am social (although with a shy edge)... yet not afraid of spending months in a cabin in the forest by myself with no electricity nor running water. I am as interested in being thrown smack dab in the middle of NYC as I am in being dropped onto a boat access only beach on the wild west coast. I have an appreciation for the diversity, cultures and excitement of the big city but carry the heart of a small town girl who wishes to live on a lovely piece of land and grow all my own food. Hi!How would my friends describe me? I think they would say I am a friend who is there no matter what, day or night no matter what time it is. They would say I am that shoulder to lean on and that ear to listen when times are happy and when times are sad. What ever it is I am there with out judgement but I do offer my opinion. Laughing can make any situation better no matter what. I am kind, caring, compassionate, full of passion and 100% honest. I am an active person, I work out with a personal trainer learning self defence, learning how to box and much more. I enjoy being outside exploring things and I am not afraid to push myself with in reason. I'm not out there to kill myself with hard core activities but do get out and move my ass! I like fishing (you bait the hook please LOL), golf (I suck but it's for fun right), an adventure on a trail, what ever the activity is - I'd like to think I'd try it once. I am on a new journey with life and change so if I am interested in doing it I sure's hell will. This is from a women's point of view - I also am not opposed to sitting watching my man do his thing, cheer him on giving a flirty smack his ass or wipe his brow of sweat and kiss him for a game/job well done. Some thing about watching a man sweat is sexy lol I am not much of a night club gal, a weekend is spent with friends hanging out at a local pub or someone's house making dinner enjoying a good bottle of wine or two, playing games and just enjoying ourselves. I am looking for a man with the same qualities that I have just listed about myself and a man who can be the same kind of friend I am, but also want a man who is confidant and knows who he is and what he wants out of life. All that I’m after is a life full of laughter!! Literally! Ohhh I can feel it now, my profile is going to be very straight forward! Without knowing me, my humour and honesty...this may even come across a little harsh! Do know...I am a positive, confident woman wishing for only positive people in my life and I do not want to waste any more time...nor do I wish to waste yours! As I work four jobs, get out very little and have friends who are married or committed...I have succumbed to my friends’ prompts and am giving this a go! I can dress up, even in character BUT don’t let it fool you! Natural blonde yes...Barbie NOT!! I drink beer with the best of them, and I enjoy chill Sunday’s watching football and hockey!! With that being said...if you are part of a “NO girls allowed” sports crowd...count me out!! Time together, time apart...good...but I would like to be with another who enjoys being with my friends, just as much as I would enjoy chillin’ with theirs...including football and hockey! Although I grew up with sports on TV and lived with sports fans...I’m finally enjoying it because I choose to...but I am still learning and certainly do not know all! Are you a ‘know it all’...if so no need to apply! Oh as well...no cheaters, stealers or liars...reasons as to why my 3yr, 5yr and 2yr relationships came to an end!! As well, I can appreciate a good competitor as I am too, whether it be sports, poker, board games, golfing, Guitar Hero etc...but no poor-sports/hissy fits around this girl!I love Lake Cowichan, Sooke Potholes, the ocean, beaches and pretty much anything outdoors in the summer!! Camping, boating, fishing, tubing, skiing (water and snow...hopefully snowboarding one day), quading, and dirt biking. I love driving a pick-up truck down the logging roads and I sleep in the box unless I choose to set up my tent! Nothing like a guitar around the campfire! Warning...I love to sing along but can NOT!! And nooo I do not own any of the above listed luxury items but maybe one day as I sure do love partaking!! I am a Coordinator at a day program supporting/working with adults with disabilities...so if you are not open to all good people and appreciate the small things in life...AGAIN no need to apply! I look for the wit, the good and the beauty within all; as none of us our perfect!’s and may one day choose (for myself) to invest in more permanent enhancements) teehee! I have not had the opportunity to travel much, but I hope to do more in the future.....!I swim and do some weight-strengthening. I love to dance and take random dance classes for a little extra exercise and FUN (I have yet to remember a full routine and definitely far from mastering the moves) Lap Dancing, Bootylicious Boot Camp, Hotness 101, Zumba etc. Although it is not a pre-requisite...I love a man who will dance with me...whether it is at a club, charity-event, wedding, or under a cabana! I love my Dad and my friends...they are my family! My future partner in-life/bestest friend will be a part...just as I will embrace their friends and family! I have no children although I always thought I would, but then again I never imagined being single at this point in my life either. Children? That question will remain unknown until I am with one and we decide together where we are at in life. What do I look for in a man? Honesty, loyalty, reliability, compassion, humour/laughter/smiles, calm temperament, good work-ethic, good judgment yet not judgemental!
