Woman. 40 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.
Looking for: man. In age: 37-47
Hello!I just moved back to Kelowna and pretty new to this site. I am bright, articulate and curious. I love hot weather, water sports (skiing, surfing, wake surfing, swimming, etc) and the outdoors. I am very playful and adventurous and like someone with a quick wit who can dish it as well as take it, someone who can be goofy and not take things too seriously. I can be very sarcastic at times and love good articulate banter. I am a bonafide word nerd and enjoy a good crossword or a sodoku now and again and love game night with a group of friends. :)I come from a pretty athletic background and like to keep active and in shape. I do not smoke, nor do drugs but I do enjoy a martini or glass of wine now and again. I have a big, close knit family and I would hope to have children myself, if it's in the cards. I am pretty traditional but not a prude. My ideal guy is tall, athletic, out-going and a man of his word. I don't have a particular type, but rely more on chemistry than a prepared list of traits. I want to be with someone I can't keep my hands off of. ;) The reality is - attraction is a visual thing. *** If you contact me - you must have pictures or I will not respond. ***I am *not* looking for "online chat friends" or endless messages back and forth. I would like to meet single men who are looking to date and are seeking a relationship. Age is just a number for me though I find I generally date men in the ***range.- simple, easy, quick...A game of pool in a great pub or an even greater dive bar...

PLEASE READ THIS!!! I wrote it just for you! Hello gentlemen! So, I'm not new to the world of online dating, and as unfortunate as it is to be back here again, I remain optimistic that this will eventually pay off. A little about me: I’m a country girl at heart, and my roots will always be firmly planted there, but my education and the different paths I’ve chosen to take in my life have made me well-versed in city life as well, which I feel makes me a well-rounded and versatile individual. I'll be the first to admit that I am a little old fashioned when it comes to what I want in a relationship. I believe that friendship makes the strongest foundation for any lasting relationship, I believe in marrying for love rather than monetary gain, and I believe that in a relationship between a man and a woman, while each naturally fulfills certain gender-specific roles, the relationship should be a mutual partnership, and not a matter of ownership. As for the kind of man I'm looking for, he doesn't think he's better than anyone else.; two admirable qualities that are sadly lacking in today’s populace. He may not necessarily be the talkative type, but he is emotionally mature enough to be capable of speaking what's on his mind and in his heart. He believes in working hard and taking pride in what he does, but he doesn't believe that money is the true measure of success or of a man. And lastly, while I concede that everyone has baggage, the man I'm looking for has not been left irreparably broken, permanently emotionally or psychologically damaged, or in any way in need of a therapist.I’m looking for a man who is willing to take the time for us to get to know one another. However, I'm not interested in crawling along at a snail's pace either. Patience has never come easy to me, but when it comes to finding my Mr. Right, I’ll wait forever rather than settle. Best of luck to you all!

Hey there! Well, here's the nuts and bolts of it......My grandfather had a theory on dating - 'Take a girl swimming on your first date. If you like her, dunk her under the water a couple times. If you recognize what you see when she comes up, and you like it, consider a second date.' I like to think that I would make my grandpa proud and make that second date! I am pretty well rounded, as far as girls go. I have travelled and worked in 8 different counties. I've spent the last 13 years of my life on the floor of drilling rigs around the world so, I definitely have a sense of humour and am usually laughing at myself first! You can laugh too, infact I hope you do ;) I like sports - both playing and watching. I love exercise but am not addicted to the gym and 'training'. I'd rather take the dogs for a run than spend an hour on the treadmill. I love to cook! I love a good glass of wine or a cold beer. Even though I love to cook, I also love trying new restaurants and am always up for a night of beer, chicken wings and a hockey or football game - Go Riders! I love the mountains and don't spend nearly as much time there (snowboarding, camping, hiking, etc) as I would like to.I am honest and trustworthy. I know what goes around, comes around and karma's a ****! My career has taught me that is easier to admit your wrong and take your licks than to get distracted trying to cover things up. Oh, and tears dont fix much of anything so if you like the drama mamas, I might leave you wanting more. Dont be confused, I am not an ice queen. I have a heart, a big one. Often times its bigger than my brains but Im ok with that.I've enjoyed a lot of success and reward from my career and now its time to slow down and enjoy the other side of happiness. Oh ***more thing...... I am not interested in participating in any 'discreet' relationships with any married men nor am I looking for an intimate encounter with some weirdo I met online! Give me a break...... I watch Dateline. Creep on creepers...... Oh, and if I am old enough to have given birth to you in high school, please keep looking. Good luck out there! Dinner and drinks.
