Hello Thanks for dropping in to read about me ;)Well....this online dating scene is still a bit of a bizarre concept for me. After giving it a lot of thought, and seeing as though I very rarely get out I figure that I may as well face this unknown and take a chance. I (and you) never know...Why don't I get out? I am a single mamma and have been from the get go. I have also been balancing mamma- Now that I've graduated (and no longer stay up till 4 Am writing research papers), getting out on the town and making a real connection is now a bit more possible. That's where you come in;)What rocks my world? My son (of course). He's very cool. Isn't there a saying about the apple not falling far from the tree? Being in nature. Music........jazz, hip hop, reggae, folk .....and anything with a good beat or a little bit of ambiance :). Staying healthy, and the feeling that I get after working out. Shiraz. Playing and writing music. Appreciating movies. Pondering and feeling glimpses of interconnectedness. Dancing barefoot in the grass under the stars (It's been a long time). Sustainability. Traveling to foreign countries. Beaches :)Why am I unique? Well....because I am... as we all are. I am social (although with a shy edge)... yet not afraid of spending months in a cabin in the forest by myself with no electricity nor running water. I am as interested in being thrown smack dab in the middle of NYC as I am in being dropped onto a boat access only beach on the wild west coast. I have an appreciation for the diversity, cultures and excitement of the big city but carry the heart of a small town girl who wishes to live on a lovely piece of land and grow all my own food. I am pretty much open to any questions you may have. My beleif is that if I treat people with respect, hopefully they will treat me the same in return. Im not into game playing, only the truth. Looking inside somoene to really discover who they are is very important to me, not judging a book by it's cover. What do I enjoy doing when not working, well probably being around adults and having a good time since I work with kids all day. I have always been an activie person, so going outside and doing something active sounds likes a great way to relieve stress and enjoy life. I think what makes me unique is that I am not a quiter. I thrive off the notion of working hard to get what I want out of life. Musically I am open to different kinds depending on my mood. Into dance right now as I recently started doing Zumba at the gym. A first date shouldnt be full of tension and nerves, as it doesnt allow you to shine as a person. So I would perfer to do an activity that I am comfortable with, which then will allow the flow of conversation to be more natural. Even though I am not a Calgary Flames fan, I would still like to go as I have followed hockey since a young girl. Sometimes a walk along the river on a nice day can provide opportunity to talk openly while exercising and enjoying the fresh air.
