About Me

I am a very driven person in all aspect of my life. I am currently working on my MBA at William and Mary, which keeps me pretty busy. I live a pretty active/healthy life style and would like a partner that values the same. I run regularly and do lots of events. So, if you run that would be a big plus. If not, it would be great to have someone waiting at the finish line to drink a beer with. If I sound like your type of girl, send me a message and we will see if we have a connection. Sometimes less is more

Woman. 37 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.

Looking for: man. In age: 34-44

Message me if:*you think poetry and philosophy go well with beer and wine *you are a little bit intellectual, mixed with a fair amount geek and just pure silly*you want to know why anyone would choose to call themselves a sucker fish (I'm curious too. I liked sword fish, but thought clownfish was likely more apropos, sadly. Maybe I should have picked sunfish, or octopus? hmm possibly bad connotations. I like poetry readings, singing karaoke, batting cages, photography, fishing, kayaking(I'm an amateur), going to museums and plays, and both beer and wine. I read, constantly. I write, not as consistently as I want, but I will finish my novel eventually. I work at a college. I want to travel abroad. I want to learn swing dance. I want to get published. I listen to all kinds of music (except techno). My favorites are usually upbeat and singable, but the one song I could listen to forever is Rhapsody in Blue. My favorite poem is Xanadu. My favorite book is whatever I'm working on (reading or writing) at the time (unless I'm reading one of my cheesy romance novels in which case I may fall back on something that sounds more intellectual). *I'm attracted to high energy, humor and intellect. If you describe yourself as laid back and are, we're probably not a good match. If you describe yourself as laid back, but actually you get excited about stuff, we'll have a better shot. Mini-golf, MIA, MoA amusement park, batting cages, skate park. Skate park is my current favorite notion. I won't do any more coffee dates. They feel like an interview and I'm a perfectionist/idealist. Better to have fun and stir up the adrenaline when deciding if the other person is attractive and interesting.

Woman. 38 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.

Looking for: man. In age: 35-45

I am 38 years old. I have been separated since January. I am ready to make a new start and I am looking forward to new experiences and having some fun. I have two children. A 15 year old and a 12 year old. I work as a bartender and server at 2 local country clubs. I like hiking, going out on the town, movies, dancing, and hanging out with my family. I am also content spending time at home cooking and watching movies. I like getting cozy at home, lighting candles, and a nice glass of wine. I like trying new things and love having fun. I can have fun doing pretty much anything as long as the company is good. I hope to go back to school soon. I have many goals and aspirations in life. I hope to one day travel and see a lot of the world. I like to go to the beach. I have always loved the water and the sand.. Anywhere near water is always good for me. I love all kinds of music.. if I can relate to it, I like it. I also like concerts and listening to live bands.

Woman. 39 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.

Looking for: man. In age: 36-46

I grew up in a small-ish town in the 80's and did all the small town things there were to do. I love my "hair bands" - But I have many other musical tastes - which you could ask me about if you're curious.Did you see my White Sox picture? Yes, I'm a fan. However, I am nice enough to keep you company if you want to watch a Cubs game at home or at a bar, but I don't like going to Wrigley. Feel free to ask me why. I enjoy Bears games and sometimes a good Bulls game too. Do you play euchre or rummy? I do!I do all the usual stuff too. I exercise, eat meat and potatoes and some healthy stuff. I enjoy being in my jeans and being low-key, but equally enjoy getting all dressed up for a night out - dinner, dancing or a classical concert or performance art of some kind. As a midwesterner I make sure to take advantage of the great outdoors during good weather. Who doesn't like a good movie now and then too, especially in the winter? Having some travel plans to look forward to is also a good cure for the the doldrums of routines. I have a lot of interests and am curious about many things, but you'll have to get to know me to find out what they are.I tend to like people who are interested in and involved in the world around them. That means knowing what is going on in the world and wanting to make the world a better place, even if a small way. I believe you don't have to have a degree to be smart. I have one, but only because I decided to become a teacher and the state requires it. I worked for a long time without a degree and was very successful. I also know people who are "degreed" and who can't think there way out of a box.I'm looking for a great man, who has some things in common with me, is intelligent and successful and wants to get to know someone gradually and respectfully. Someone to have great conversations with, smile and laugh and occassionally have a good-spirited debate. Someone to be goofy with me, show me new things, try new things and enjoy the beauty of life. Someone who has goals and wants to eventually share his life with a best friend and partner.Could that be you? For a first date, I would prefer to do an activity like bowling or playing pool or darts which I think is more fun & gets you past the awkward conversation moments. I am rather shy at first, so it's more fun to have something to banter about. First dates are always awkward. I think it takes at least 3 or 4 dates to really see if you like someone. (Unless of course the first date is a really rude experience.)
