"When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." Probably one of my favourite quotes by Maya Angelou. A design consultant by day, I am a 38 year old single woman who enjoys photography as a hobby and enjoying the outdoors. Hot Yoga has become an important part of my life helping me heal physically and allowing me to meet a great group of people as well. If I had no boundaries in regards to finances or home obligations, I would grab my camera and travel where ever my heart desired and along the way enjoy hiking, canoeing, spending time meeting new people and hopefully finding another reason to feel grateful for my life. I'm active everyday whether its taking part in a yoga class, cycling or weight training..... I'm doing it.I'm independent and self-sufficient with a career oriented mind set, however as time passes I'm finding myself scaling down on "things" and wanting to experience "things".... Does that make sense?I find myself attracted to someone who is comfortable in his own skin and can look you right in the eye and tell you exactly what he thinks and wants.I'm also attracted to someone who is emotionally available and doesn't over think his intentions or feelings. Communication is important to me whether it's a heavy subject matter or not and someone who glosses over issues tends to make me tune out. Qualities that are important to me are: likeable, funny, confident, healthy, available, smart, trustworthy of me, savy, problem solver, passionate, thoughtful, industrious and has a healthy outlook on life. Now I just noticed that I sound too serious! Omg that's horrible because I'm really not. I can throw a baseball and a frisbee.... Does that help? Might be a surprise, but I'm not too keen on coffee or alcohol which may throw some people off. Then the dreaded question of, "would you like to go for a coffee"? could pose a few road blocks! Lol.... but that's okay because if you're a coffee drinker, you could grab a coffee and I would choose something else and then there are no worries. I'd rather you be honest and be yourself than conform to something.

I can have fun doing pretty much anything as long as the company is good. I hope to go back to school soon. I have many goals and aspirations in life. I hope to one day travel and see a lot of the world. I like to go to the beach. I have always loved the water and the sand.. Anywhere near water is always good for me. Woman. 39 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.
Looking for: man. In age: 36-46
I grew up in a small-ish town in the 80's and did all the small town things there were to do. I love my "hair bands" - But I have many other musical tastes - which you could ask me about if you're curious.Did you see my White Sox picture? Yes, I'm a fan. However, I am nice enough to keep you company if you want to watch a Cubs game at home or at a bar, but I don't like going to Wrigley. Feel free to ask me why. I enjoy Bears games and sometimes a good Bulls game too. Do you play euchre or rummy? I do!I do all the usual stuff too. I exercise, eat meat and potatoes and some healthy stuff. I enjoy being in my jeans and being low-key, but equally enjoy getting all dressed up for a night out - dinner, dancing or a classical concert or performance art of some kind. As a midwesterner I make sure to take advantage of the great outdoors during good weather. Who doesn't like a good movie now and then too, especially in the winter? Having some travel plans to look forward to is also a good cure for the the doldrums of routines. I have a lot of interests and am curious about many things, but you'll have to get to know me to find out what they are.I tend to like people who are interested in and involved in the world around them. That means knowing what is going on in the world and wanting to make the world a better place, even if a small way. I believe you don't have to have a degree to be smart. I have one, but only because I decided to become a teacher and the state requires it. I worked for a long time without a degree and was very successful. I also know people who are "degreed" and who can't think there way out of a box.I'm looking for a great man, who has some things in common with me, is intelligent and successful and wants to get to know someone gradually and respectfully. Someone to have great conversations with, smile and laugh and occassionally have a good-spirited debate. Someone to be goofy with me, show me new things, try new things and enjoy the beauty of life. Someone who has goals and wants to eventually share his life with a best friend and partner.Could that be you? For a first date, I would prefer to do an activity like bowling or playing pool or darts which I think is more fun & gets you past the awkward conversation moments. I am rather shy at first, so it's more fun to have something to banter about. First dates are always awkward. I think it takes at least 3 or 4 dates to really see if you like someone. (Unless of course the first date is a really rude experience.)
