About Me

I haven't had any luck on this site so far but I'm a glutton for punishment and keep hoping I still might find that needle in the haystack!After moving to Calgary 2. I have a good career, wonderful friends, and I'm at a great place in my life, now I just want someone special to share it all with.I am fun and easy going, and try to enjoy life and laugh whenever possible. Friends and family are very important to me and I'll do anything for the important people in my life...well within reason of course. My friends seem to think I'm the one they should call if they ever need to be bailed out of jail, but they should know I would probably be right there with them! ;-) So, enough about me...what am I looking for you ask? Well I'm looking for someone who is single for starters who is actually interested in a relationship. I'm done with casual flings and men who are only looking for fun. A guy who is attractive with a witty sense of humour, some sophistication and confidence (not arrogance) would also be a bonus. I am into health and fitness and try to stay in good shape and eat right so, it would be nice to meet someone who is also in good shape! This doesn't mean you need to have a six pack because I sure don't have one...just not a kegger! :I could list all the other things I'm looking for, but it really comes down to chemistry! Just because someone looks good ‘on paper’ doesn't necessarily translate to reality. So if there is any initial interest I'd rather meet in person sooner than later to see if there is any chemistry.     I've been told I'm most like the girl next door. I grew up in a neighborhood where I was the only girl so I don't mind getting dirty. Hiking and biking are 2 of my favorite things to do when I have extra time. I try to hit the gym at least 3x a week.I'm a no drama type of woman and enjoy laughing to no end (a bit of a Dork)My friends are amazed at how complete strangers always come up to me and just start a simple conversation. I just have that effect on people :DPlease serious mature men only! First date should be somewhere you can actually talk to someone. I never understood why you would go to the movies since you just sit there...2 hrs later you learned 0 about the person and spent $40+. A nice walk/hike/bike ride or quiet dinner/coffee shop would be suitable.

    I think every time I fill something out about myself it sounds dumb to me. Not that I think I'm dumb but that it sounded WAY better in my head! I am a single mom and my kids come first. If you aren't a Christian, then I'm not interested. I love life. I love being outdoors either walking/hiking, seeking caches, exploring new places or whatever else I can do outside. Raised by southern parents so I suppose you could say I'm a southern girl at heart. :) I love my family. I am very close to my extended family as well and miss them so much being that I'm a bit of a drive from most of them. I went back to school in Jan ***and graduated in September of last year w/ an AA in Photography. I LOVE getting lost behind my camera! I'm an assistant soccer coach for one of my daughters soccer teams and am really enjoying it. It has been amazing to watch these kids transform in what they are learning and in life. I am getting back into running but have to do it carefully. "Old age" gets to me sometimes :) But am training again for a 5k but this time w/ my 11 yr old. I am not toned.. yet.. but working on it. I'm not big either. I like someone who takes care of their body. They dont' have to be a gym rat but in shape or EXTREMELY close is nice. I've never been turned on w/ the "more of me to love" type. I am not saying I'm perfect. I find it so much easier to work out with someone but am making due trying to take care of myself. I have been told by my kids that I'm "so crazy" and they don't get why I'm single LOL... not funny kid! ;) I just tell them God hasn't brought the right one by yet. I am looking to make friends. If God shows us that it should be more than that's awesome. If not I'm happy with friends. I am NOT pushing anything, as I want something real. I've been through enough to know what I want and how a relationship should be and one sided isnt' it. If you are controlling... go away, I'll pass. I want to be partners with my very best friend and grow old together. Not find someone, force a relationship and try to be friends when things get rough. I am selective in answering *** don't date younger than me. I don't date long distance. I DON'T date non-believers. Im sure I'll think of something that I completely forgot to say and I'll come back on here and write it in. However, what's the fun in telling everything in writing??? Isn't that part of the fun in getting to know someone? :)Happy fishing Honestly I like being able to chat online a little and find out if there could be anything there.
