I am a Middle School Language Arts teacher and I love it! I am a very down to earth person. I am also very sarcastic and blunt (which no offense to southerners, but y'all just don't get northern sarcasm). I am a very family oriented person; I love spending time with my family and friends. This move to the south has been a lil rough on me simply because I'm down here on my own and I do not get to see my family and friends as much as I'd like. I am very energetic, thanks to my nephew. He definitely keeps me active and on my toes when I'm with him. I'm sure once my niece and other nephew get old enough they're going to keep me just as busy.I enjoy going out to bars, going to the beach, and shopping. I also enjoy sitting at home every so often watching movies (especially horror movies). As much as I enjoy getting dressed up and going out and meeting new people, I also enjoy just sitting at home in my sweatpants and relaxing., but Bob Dylan is my all time favorite!) I love NFL football, that's pretty much the only sport I watch.; I have been since a very young age.I'm not sure where I see myself in a few years, but I do know that I will still be teaching... I'm just not sure where at. Hopefully a lil closer to home... I'm not very picky. Anywhere that I would actually be able to talk to the other person and get to kno them. Having fun is also a major plus!

Well lets give this a whirl. I've never really dated much, but would like to start. I work full time, and have my own place. No pets, although I do like animals, especially cats. I'm a bit on the overweight side of things, but I've started going to the gym almost every day. It gets me out of the house, and I actually like how I feel afterwards. It helps me sleep and makes me feel like I'm making progress towards living a healthier life style. It's also helping me prepare for Warrior Dash, which I'll be participating in this September. If you don't know what that is, it's an obstacle course race, which benefits St. Judes Home.At home most times I'm reading, drawing, or working on my different art projects. I'm working on a series of mixed media art pieces right now, that I'm hoping to sell to supplement my income. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but art and writing are the things I enjoy the most. I suppose you could call art my night job, except... my "day job" is actually at night. Hah! Alright, alright, so that was a bit dorky... ahem..Things I love to do! I also like going to bonfires with friends, and karaoke. Every now and then we do "crafty nights", where a bunch of friends get together and work on their respective crafts or art projects, with junk food and sometimes alcohol, as well as music. They always wind up being tons of fun! Also, every November I participate in National Novel Writing Month.-ups during November for fellow geeks like myself.I love to cook and bake, and will sometimes try to gross people out when I make banana bread. Alright, so that's a bit mean... but sometimes it's funny to see how people react to the bananas once they get ready for banana bread.... I used to have a friend I'd drive nuts baking around. She always loved what I made, but if you expect someone to measure out every little thing for baking... well, I'm not your girl! Woman.. whatever. Don't call me baby girl.Is it obvious I haven't slept much today? I'll have to remember to update this when I've had the proper amount of sleep.I listen to all sorts of music, not rap really, but alternative, some country, some really old country, swing, techno, hmm.. 'goth' music? Bands like Sirenia, Birthday Massacre, Eisley, Imagine Dragons, Jewel, oohhh, Sixpence None The Richer and Abba! Although not as much Abba as I used to when I was younger. Well, I haven't been on many dates so I'm not sure what a good first date would be.Something in public, lets face it, the world isn't as safe as it used to be and I'm not stupid. Preferably something that wont tax the bank accounts too badly. Beyond that I suppose it partly depends on the time of year. A trip to the Ren Faire would be a great date I think. Enjoying turkey legs and wandering looking at all the booths. Meeting someplace that does karaoke would be nice, but bars really aren't conductive to actual talking. Someplace where we could have fun, actually talk and get to know each other! I'm not looking for a quick hook-up or simple "activity partners", I'm looking for something more lasting.I'm flexible, and I would really like to meet new people and experience new things. So send me a message, suggest ideas.
