Dating should be like a job interview. Several questions should be asked in the very beginning and answered honestly, that way nobodys time gets wasted. I am very guilty of wasting my time with "douche bags" and the like. I am looking for a man to compliment me mentally, intellectually, physically, and professionally. I wear my heart on my sleeve, I have alot of love to give, I can be that sweet smart independent woman in your life that does sweet loving things for you. If you dont have a job or are currently incarcerated: do not contact me. I want a man that can speak his mind and have a spine...not be a pushover..but at the same time be able to hold a woman with the utmost respect and dignity. Be honest, dont lie, dont play....we are too old for games.....whoa! Sorry for venting! I just want the basic classic gentleman....someone to open doors for me. I spend my spare time hanging out with my friends going to the gym, and playing around in the kitchen trying/cooking new things. Im an active person, and hope to meet someone that has the same motivation as I when it comes to health. I enjoy the finer things in life, but appreciate the simpler things. On the first date, I would like to be in a setting that would allow comfortable, easy to hear, conversation. I enjoy getting to know people, their likes and dislikes, their desires and not so much desires. I want to see if he has chemistry with me or not.

So, I'm cynically optimistic and thought I would give this a try! I've realized that I needed more balance in my life, especially when it came to relationships. I've spent the last couple years focused on building my career and what little time I had left I spent with family and friends. I'm settled for the time being-- I'm at a good place with my career, bought a house and rescued a dog (they both definitely keep me busy). I'm outgoing and confident, I have a type A personality and I'm a real people person--so good conversation is a must. I'm caring, but definitely can be sarcastic--I have to keep my dark humor in check. I'm pretty liberal, and not offended too easily--I get my news from the Daily Show and NPR. I'm somewhat of a foodie and definitely like trying new places and cuisines. I love being outside, and definitely look forward to enjoying the fall weather. Since I work longer days during the week I like to take the dog out for walking trails and hiking. I'm into going on road trips, going to flea markets, wineries, museums, or quirky places off the beaten path. I'm just as content staying home and watching movies-- I love the neighborhood I live in and like to be more active in community events. Music-wise I like "old" R&B, Hip Hop, Rap-- the new stuff is cheesy, I listen to pop and pretty much anything on the radio. I just have to put it out there that I have NO interest in WWE or NASCAR-- and I really don't think I could fake it. Otherwise I'm into sports--love football, basketball, baseball. So I'm looking to find someone with similar interests (but I'm open-minded, opposites do attract) likes to have fun, wants to be outside and is kind of handy (or at least willing to try)...and definitely good conversation. Simple things-- meeting for coffee, taking the dog for a hike...or something totally different-- I once had a first date to feed the ducks at the museum, simple and creative.
