Hi! I am getting back into the dating world after taking a couple of years off and am somewhat nervous about dipping my feet in the water again! I'm happy with my life, but I am eager and excited about meeting someone to share it all with.I am passionate about human rights, love animals, and love to watch sports. I also love to travel, having spent several years in Europe, and I enjoy reading and watching a variety of shows. I'm very open-minded and hope to meet someone with different passions and interests for me to explore! It's not necessary for my partner to enjoy all of the things I enjoy, but it's important that he be open and willing to give my passions a chance. I am very easy-going and tend to put people at ease when I talk with them. I'm also quite open and find it easy to share my deepest feelings and emotions. I'm a firm believer in openness and communication in relationships and have a difficult time with people who keep feelings to themselves or who hold things inside.I know myself and have clear goals for my future, but I don't think I am so set in my ways that I can not compromise and allow life to go in a variety of different directions. More than anything else, it is important to me to find a best friend and partner in this crazy life. I am excited by the fact that life can be so unpredictable and that I don't have all of the answers. I prefer a first date that lacks any unnecessary pressure, so a quick cup of coffee or drink after work is best.

So, I'm cynically optimistic and thought I would give this a try! I've realized that I needed more balance in my life, especially when it came to relationships. I've spent the last couple years focused on building my career and what little time I had left I spent with family and friends. I'm settled for the time being-- I'm at a good place with my career, bought a house and rescued a dog (they both definitely keep me busy). I'm outgoing and confident, I have a type A personality and I'm a real people person--so good conversation is a must. I'm caring, but definitely can be sarcastic--I have to keep my dark humor in check. I'm pretty liberal, and not offended too easily--I get my news from the Daily Show and NPR. I'm somewhat of a foodie and definitely like trying new places and cuisines. I love being outside, and definitely look forward to enjoying the fall weather. Since I work longer days during the week I like to take the dog out for walking trails and hiking. I'm into going on road trips, going to flea markets, wineries, museums, or quirky places off the beaten path. I'm just as content staying home and watching movies-- I love the neighborhood I live in and like to be more active in community events. Music-wise I like "old" R&B, Hip Hop, Rap-- the new stuff is cheesy, I listen to pop and pretty much anything on the radio. I just have to put it out there that I have NO interest in WWE or NASCAR-- and I really don't think I could fake it. Otherwise I'm into sports--love football, basketball, baseball. So I'm looking to find someone with similar interests (but I'm open-minded, opposites do attract) likes to have fun, wants to be outside and is kind of handy (or at least willing to try)...and definitely good conversation. Simple things-- meeting for coffee, taking the dog for a hike...or something totally different-- I once had a first date to feed the ducks at the museum, simple and creative.
