So this is my second time around, first time no luck! I have been single for about a year and a half. Through this process I have learned a lot about myself. What I want and what I don't want out of a relationship. It's going to take someone pretty amazing to change my relationship status, because I will not settle. Family is very important to me. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors! Fishing, camping, beach, campfires, country concerts. I don't mind getting dirty playing in the mud! I'm a down to earth kinda girl! I'm a hard worker . I work in aerospace, I Xray airplane parts. Most days I love my job. Coffee or something to get to know each other!

I'm a down to earth girl looking for a down to earth guy. If I could have the whole package, that guy would be able to: make me laugh, hold an intellectual conversation, appreciate spontaneity, nature, traveling and he would be compassionate and affectionate."I apologize to you if I don't seem real eager to jump into a forced awkward intimate situation that people like to call dating. I don't like the feeling. You're sitting there, you're wondering am I talking too much, are they talking enough, am I interested I'm not really interested, should I play like I'm interested but I'm not that interested but I think he might be interested but do I want to be interested but now he's not interested? It's very difficult trying to read the situation. And all the while you're just really wondering are we gonna get hopped up enough to make some bad decisions?" Italian or sushi restaurant, a live sporting event (esp. nba or terps basketball, ravens, redskins or orioles game), a live band, concert, or dancing, a funny movie, or anything in nature :)

So, I'm cynically optimistic and thought I would give this a try! I've realized that I needed more balance in my life, especially when it came to relationships. I've spent the last couple years focused on building my career and what little time I had left I spent with family and friends. I'm settled for the time being-- I'm at a good place with my career, bought a house and rescued a dog (they both definitely keep me busy). I'm outgoing and confident, I have a type A personality and I'm a real people person--so good conversation is a must. I'm caring, but definitely can be sarcastic--I have to keep my dark humor in check. I'm pretty liberal, and not offended too easily--I get my news from the Daily Show and NPR. I'm somewhat of a foodie and definitely like trying new places and cuisines. I love being outside, and definitely look forward to enjoying the fall weather. Since I work longer days during the week I like to take the dog out for walking trails and hiking. I'm into going on road trips, going to flea markets, wineries, museums, or quirky places off the beaten path. I'm just as content staying home and watching movies-- I love the neighborhood I live in and like to be more active in community events. Music-wise I like "old" R&B, Hip Hop, Rap-- the new stuff is cheesy, I listen to pop and pretty much anything on the radio. I just have to put it out there that I have NO interest in WWE or NASCAR-- and I really don't think I could fake it. Otherwise I'm into sports--love football, basketball, baseball. So I'm looking to find someone with similar interests (but I'm open-minded, opposites do attract) likes to have fun, wants to be outside and is kind of handy (or at least willing to try)...and definitely good conversation. Simple things-- meeting for coffee, taking the dog for a hike...or something totally different-- I once had a first date to feed the ducks at the museum, simple and creative.
