About Me

After much planning & saving, I'm so very happy and proud to be a first-time homebuyer. As scary, complicated, and overwhelming the whole house-hunting, loan-approval, and moving process was, I can now say it is one of the best decisions I've made. Coming home each day to a place that is all my own is such a blessing. I'll admit learning all the new homeowner skills has been and continues to be a very long road, but it's so worth the warm sense of accomplishment every time I walk into my newly refinished bathroom (complete with brand-new toilet, *** yours truly!).Toilet ***, I'm still very much a newbie at all things handy, so I am very lucky to have a loving family come to my home-repair rescue from time to time. My family is very close and I love being the fun aunt with my 2 nephews. I like spending weekends with my family and friends having a get together at someone's house around a firepit just to talk and catch up, or babysitting (aka rock band festival) with my nephews, we love being together and having fun for fun's sake.The best gift my Mother passed on to me was her love and talent for music. (So I guess I can forgive for giving me her hips too) Since I was tiny soloist in our children's choir at church, voice lessons through high school, and now being apart of several community choruses, my passion for singing music has only grown over the years. The challenge of practicing and becoming a better musician is one of my greatest pleasures. I would love to find someone who could sing or play with me, but definitely not a requirement. A sincere appreciation for music - all kinds - would be a big plus. I have a deep relationship with Christ and try very hard to use the gifts He has blessed me with to share his love with others. Finding someone who is positive and passionate about sharing their gifts and talents would be a dream come true. Definitely not a movie date. Every first date I've been on has been dinner and movie, and since I'm posting a profile on this site, apparently those don't work so well. I'd really like to do something fun like going to a reds game, going to the park for a bike ride, or maybe even just a coffee date.

    I am a mom of 3 first and foremost. I have been abused and cheated on in the past, and am toyed of being the last on sometimes mind. I always believed that people deserve a chance no matter how bad their past was. It took along time for me to realize you can't make anyone do what they don't want to do. I am at a point where I've come to realize you can't sweat the little things life is to short. I'm a city and country all in one. I'm from the obx-so I love the ocean. I also have Harley in my blood and see the whole world different from the back of a bike. I like to fish even though I'm not very good at it. I LOVE to play in the mud. Even though I'm not a mechanic or know much terminology about motors the sound of a tricked out motor gives me goose bumps. I'm at the burn pit at the drag strip every chance I get. A classic car restored is almost sexual for me. I love going to car shows and looking at all the cars. (my friends say I take to long). I love a stingray, but my dream is anything with a hemi. I love to "get lost" locally our not so locally. Exploring of the beaten path is a love of mine. the other side I love going to concerts or taking in an art show. A dinner at a nice restaurant with candles or low lights is a good way to get to my heartstrings. I can spend hours in museums and a day trip to DC is something I would enjoy. I have expensive taste, but I also know what is most important...is not money or what you can do it's much more. Family, friends, having the necessities, but mostly the company and affection of someone who totally gets you. Time means more to me than anything material. I like to stay atty home just as much as I like to go out. I spend the best times at home with my kids. So now if you are really still reading drop me a line and we can get to know each other. I don't have a car right now (something I'm working on), so you would have to pick me up. Bring me some flowers, yeah that would really melt my heart. Go to a sports bar, or any restaurant with a fun atmosphere to eat, and get a couple of drinks just to get rid of the jitters. Then either go somewhere with live music or even just a ride to get to know each other. Then if everything clicks we can wing it from there......
