I want an honest and loyal man.I found all of these qualities once before in a man and I never realized exactly what I had until he passed away, young and inexperienced as I was at the time. In the four years since he's been gone, the more I've dated, the more men that I have met, the more I've realized how hard it is to find a husband like I had. I know that if im lucky enough to find a man like that for a second time, I will never take it for granted again. Not to sound like a cliche, but most people truly don't realize what they have until it's gone. Being widowed at 29, dealing with a loss of that magnitude changed who I am and how I view the world. I truly appreciate everyone I love now. I know that they can be ripped away at anytime. I may not be the smallest woman on here, and I'm not perfect, but if you're lucky enough for me to love you, there won't be a day that goes by that we're together that you don't know it. Something casual on neutral ground where there's an opportunity to talk. Not really big on movies as a first date.

I think it's really difficult to show you who I am with a few words, but I'll try. I'm sarcastic all the time, goofy when I'm tired and usually kinda cranky in the morning. I work with traumatized kids and I can't imagine doing anything else. My work has made me very appreciative of my own life. Life is generally good. Great friends. Caring family. I get to do work I care about. The only thing missing is someone to share it with. I need a man that appreciates my independence and feisty personality. Someone who can call me out when I'm being unreasonable, but respects my opinions even if they are different than his. I'm a caretaker by nature, but sometimes it's nice to have someone around who wants to take care of me now and then. I'm easy to please and not very picky about mostly anything. Martinis and fine dining to pizza and beer - it's all fine with me :)
