About Me

Jumping right in to random facts about me... I have the sense of humor of a 12-year-old boy sometimes, even though I come across as pretty serious before you get to know me. Sometimes cheesy commercials and sappy country songs make me tear up a little. Warm weather, slower pace, and family are the main reasons I came back down South. Reading and being outdoors are two of my favorite things. I love language in general, and love working with kids. I'm lucky to have found a job that combines the two.I'm a bit of a nerd. I'd much rather read, play board games, go on a hike, or host/go to a potluck than go hit the bars. Lately I'm on a bluegrass/folk kick-- I love live music especially. I like just about anything outdoors--volleyball, fishing, hiking. Well, when the weather is nice. And (no longer embarassed to admit it) The Golden Girls. It's been a long and winding road, but I think I've found where I want to be. I could see myself being here for a while. That's enough about me. What about you? The more active, the better. I'd be up for a hike on a first date. Or maybe live music; outdoors if possible.
