In a word, I'm passionate. Within my circle of friends I'm the outgoing, fun-loving, shameless one (watch me KILL IT over a night of karaoke***but get me cornered and you'll find an empathic listener, a devoted friend and a bit of an intellectual.I was always a starry-eyed romantic growing up; that's been tempered somewhat by time and experience -Somehow, I have the tremendous fortune of traveling the world... Nothing makes me happier than discovering new destinations and cultures.Family is the most important thing to me, and I'm blessed with an incredible, tight-knit (albeit scattered) family.To me, the most appealing traits a man can possess are intelligence and kindness. (Okay, granted... Chemistry comes first.) I find intellect incredibly sexy and my knees go weak when a man can intimidate me. That whole "nice guys finish last" adage doesn't agree with me. Morality is a gray scale, but encountering someone who is compassionate, believes in genuine goodness and strives to uphold some kind of value system (whatever that may be) is an exceedingly rare find.I'm looking for someone who believes in truly building something. I'm all for companionship and having fun, but would hope to enjoy it with a man who sees concepts like partnership, trust, passion and - above all - enduring love as attainable realities. (A trip to Dean and Deluca to handpick items for our epic picnic would be nice too.)Or we could take in a play or comedy show, followed by a great dinner with some intimate conversation and repartee.Wrapping things up with a walk along the waterfront or national mall sounds just about perfect.

FYI.........Please do not initiate contact with 'Hey' ,'What's up' ,'How's it goin' , redundant and obvious 'cut and paste liners' , etc.......I require more stimulating conversation than a lame opener such as those previously described.....Thank you Gaaaaaaaaaawd Bless! :)I'm a walking contradiction-I'm a woman! ;) I work hard, I like to play harder, and I love the hardest.....I'm loyal, and I love my friends and family with every fiber in my being. Conveniently, these innate characteristics are seemingly impossible to locate in another. But I remain optimistic ;) I was recently asked to describe myself in 3 words that I feel separate myself from the rest. I think now is as appropriate a time as any to share with the rest:1. Loyalty (towards the one I choose to be with, then family, then friends)2. Brutal Honesty (you'll always know where you stand with me-life is too short for, and relationships are too precious to me to have lies in the mix)3. Selfless (I will gladly go without, so that someone in need can go with)-That is all I care to share at this time The way to my heart is through intelligence (keep me on my toes),humor and 80s rock! ;) I'm up for the cliche first date.....the nice restaurant, digging out and wearing the proverbial 'little black dress'.....going through the unnatural and frankly unnecessary pressure this build up of a first date tacks on, feeling the disconnect or lack thereof before the first course is even brought out, entertaining forced conversation or common ground.........I could go on and on....frankly it's a little superfluousOr we could just take things as they come,, take the time necessary to see if we even care to be in the same room together.....find common ground, do something FUN! Something we both would enjoy. Less pressure, we'd be more apt to just be 'ourselves' doing something truly entertaining.....whatever that might be. Anything active outdoors, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, fishing (preferably deep sea fishing), shooting range, swimming, snorkeling, diving, four-, yolo boarding, beach volleyball, hitting the beach, tennis, golf (I'll just drive the golf cart-it's what I do ;) ), swimming with wild dolphins(an exhilerating feeling),

I'm not so great with describing myself, but here goes...I'm a happy-go-lucky person by nature and like to keep my world as stress-and-drama- free as possible. I've got a positive outlook on life and prefer to keep it that way! I have a close group of friends with whom I would do anything for, and would do anything for me :)While I'm not particularly well-traveled as of yet, I've got a passport book that's ready to go- I'm just looking for someone to explore and make some memories with!I am especially proud of myself for accomplishing the educational goal that I had set for myself- I graduated with my master's degree for educational administration and picked up an additional certification along the way, all a few years ahead of the original deadline I had set. A feather in my cap; I am now hoping to utilize that in the workplace :)I'm a beach bum when the weather's anywhere near warm. Red wine, comedy clubs, house music, Sushi Fridays at work, and my pup are a few of the things that make me happy :)
