I grew up in the country so living in the city can still be a bit of a culture shock for me, but I love it! In my free time I love to sing. Other than that, I paint, draw, do yoga, enjoy any kind of outdoor sport... I LOVE camping and just being out in the woods enjoying nature. I love to travel. I've been to Europe a couple of times and my newest dream is to go to India. I have always wanted to ride an elephant and I'm going to make sure it happens one day. Dinner in the city at a tapas bar followed by a local jazz band playing in some dive bar where at some point despite he awkwardness of getting to know each other, you reach out for my hand to dance. I LOVE to dance. At that point the night will figure itself out..

For the past three years, I've been teaching PreK-8th grade music at Catholic schools, giving music lessons, and singing professionally with local churches, opera companies, and choral groups. It's a pretty great deal being able to spend all day making music with kids and singing. I was classically trained (voice and piano), but I grew up on Classic Rock music (Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, etc).I train in Aikido, a Japanese martial art, and got my black belt last year. I love that martial arts challenge you physically and mentally. I've met many different and wonderful people while training. We'll often go out afterward for drinks, dinner, or pool.I love going skiing, camping, hiking, jogging, day trips, and trying out things in the city. For relaxing, I'll read (classic literature or good fiction), watch movies (especially shameless action films) or spend the evening with friends. I have a pretty good balance in life right now. I work hard for school, but save evenings and weekends for fun.
