About Me

I guess I should start by saying that the whole concept of this online thing is new to me. To be honest, I find the idea kind of unnatural... But if you're so busy that you rarely go out and thus, don't have the opportunity to meet people, I suppose the online thing makes sense so I'll give it a shot. I have one child who is, rightfully, the center of my universe. So if you're interested in the party-girl who gets a babysitter every weekend so she can go out to get wasted and act a fool, that's not me. Also, I have zero intentions of introducing my child to anyone that I date and I'm certainly not looking to rush into anything.My work is of a professional nature, government-related, and therefore, it's kind of like Fight Club. And the first rule of Fight Club is... If you can't finish that sentence, please stop reading this now.I guess I'm a typical girl in the sense that I like interior decorating, fashion and all that. However, unlike a typical girl, I'm not bat-sh*t crazy, high-maintenance or stuck-up. Nor do my sentences generally consist of, "Like... Oh my god... Right??" I'm pretty chill. I can keep up with the girls and roll with the boys. I grew up in Northern BC, so I'm not afraid of getting dirty and I can probably build a better fire than you can. In case you haven't noticed, I also have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. I'm currently teaching myself to play guitar. I love hockey, cooking and music. I appreciate pretty much all music with the exception of country. I am not a Flames fan (Canucks & Oilers, all the way) and I absolutely DO NOT two-step. Nor am I interested in you teaching me how to.The things I value most are family, honesty and integrity. I appreciate someone who is intelligent, quick-witted, driven, self-sufficient, has a good sense of humor and doesn't take themselves too seriously. Improper spelling and poor grammar are a deal-breaker for me. As are crunchy hair, girl eyebrows and sparkly shirts. So d-bags need not apply. ** UPDATE: I do not hook up. So if that's your objective, please save me the "ur hot" messages. In return, you'll save yourself some time, energy and dignity. I'm sure there's some poor girl on here that will eat that sh*t up, but it's not me, pal :) A public place, in case you're a total weirdo and I have to yell "stranger danger" and run away.

    My life is full of fun and I am always on the go. When I am not working the kids and I are ALWAYS on the go, lol. Swimming, Skiing, Walks, going to the lake, going shopping, going for nature hikes, and ect. Even though my off time is usually filled up I still have goals, or bucket list so to speak. I am hoping to travel some day (once money and life say I can, lol) Now that the kids are in school I get 2 to 3 days a week to myself (if it is my turn for them that is) and I am looking forward to starting up working out again or something. I have been doing this for over 13 years and I hope I never have to stop! As soon as I get off my 12hr shift at ***then I go over to a hotel and work for another 4 to 5 hrs. Just so the kids can swim and use the water slide when ever they want, plus the extra money is nice! lol I have to WONDERFUL kids 7 and 5. I just LOVE them to death! I am like a little kid when they go to their dads, I count the sleeps till they are back in my arms again, lol. If you were to ask my friends about me they would say that I am a happy person and always laughing and making them laugh. They would say that I am honest and a great listener and loyal friend.If you want to know more then I guess you'll have to meet me! :) For the first date I would rather go out for coffee or something to eat. To pick a movie or something like that is better saved for a date later on down the road. I love to get to know the person I am going on a date with. Nothing better then a great conversation, connection with the person you are having a date with.

    It's definitely not easy to talk about yourself... but here goes... I thought I would give the "online" thing a try. A few friends had success so I figured why not! I currently teach Kindergarten and I absolutely love it! I'm very close with my family and I live with 2 friends that I've known since we were 5, and they are all very important to me.
