About Me

I am a single educated woman that can enjoy the small pleasures of life. I love being near the ocean, swimming and lounging at the pool, spending time in the parks, enjoying an afternoon of looking through gift shops, fishing, the laughter of children, going out to dinner, grilling out/cooking, and a Sunday afternoon footbal game. I listen to a variety of music but prefer R&B and some old school music. Depending on my mood I can still appreciate some 80s & 90s rock and roll and I find comfort in gospel music. I like concerts and would love to see some live comedians. Spirituality and God are a part of my life so if that isn't you then we won't work well together in a relationship and I wish you the best. Although I'll have an occasional drink I prefer to stay out of the bar scenes, did my years of those. I want peace and tranquility in my life and am hoping to find a partner that can hold a meaningful conversation, supports my career choices, has a sense of humor but knows when it's time to be serious, invites open communication, is not afraid to show affection, and provides as much love and respect for me as I do for him.     I love to read and write, kayak, hike, walk in nature, travel, go to the beach often. I used to garden quite a bit, but haven't done much since moving from CA to NC 8 years ago. We have a leisurely dinner outdoors with privacy and learn much about each other. Neither steals the conversation. I find that the gentleman sitting across from me is well educated, has a great sense of humor, is attractive, has some fun stories to tell and I can tell that he enjoys my company and finds me attractive and interesting. We learn a lot about each other. We both share our faith together and pray before our meal. The evening goes so well that we decide to go to a concert together or kayak weather permitting. Or perhaps a hike or picnic. We hug good-bye and he kisses me. I swoon.

    I am 52 yrs old. I have been divorced since Feb of ***. I am a Christian. I love Christian contemporary music, praise and worship music. That is what I listen to the most. I do like some country songs, as long as it's not about forbidden love, the dog running away or tears in beers.. I am raising my 10 yr old cousin and have been since he was just 3 yrs old. He has a few emotional issues, I also have my 3 yr old grand daughter for now. I love to read and to write also. If you look at my face, you will be able to see "bumps"on my face. This is from a disorder called Neurofibromatosis. Google it; easier than me trying to explain. It causes "bumps" on my face, called neurofibromas. I have them over good portion of my body. I'm not scary looking, nor am I ugly, but it causes some folks discomfort. Does not affect my "loving" at all.Again, I am a Christian and I am looking for a man who is a like mind. Church attendance is important to me. When I lost my husband, I lost my "pastor" also... Yep he was a pastor. For a short time, I was mad with God, but thanks to my mom's prayers and countless friends prayers, I have come to my senses and know that God has that special man that will love me and worship God with me.. He's out there.. I just gotta be still and listen for God's voice.... Man!! is it hard to just WAIT.... I hate waiting.. But God will hold true to His promise..
