It would seem that finding that best friend and companion to share life with is more challenging than I had origionally thought...lol Apparently being a 26 year old woman that is witty, sweet, independant and goal oriented is not for everyone. In all seriousness i'm not an unrealistic person I am well aware that things dont just happen overnight I'm not willing to rush into things to settle down but what I would like is to work on building and friendship next maybe date and from there if there seems to be that spark why not see if we share the capability to build more....if its not there then lets call it what it is...time spent meeting someone new and taking the time to learn someone elses unique view of the world...I'm fun outgoing love to laugh and make ppl laugh...I can be a homebody but at the same time I fully enjoy exploring the beautiful province I live in and beyond..A few simple things that I'd require of someone I'm looking for is that you have a job(I know to normal ppl this sounds a little ridiculous but you'd be surprised ;P ), not party persistently( i enjoy a good party like the best of them but theres a time and a place). Life is definatly something to be celebrated and I dont intend on wasting my time feeling sorry for what I dont possess but I will absolutely be thankful for what I do have. I have a number of hobbies, many of which relate to my job (I'm a high school home ec. teacher). I love cooking and testing out new recipes, and exploring the city for fun new places to eat. I love walking. If it will take an hour or so on foot, I'm happy to set out with my Ipod and a book in my bag. I also love sewing and crafting, and making things for my friends.So as I said, I am a home ec. teacher. I graduated from UBC last year and am working as a substitute right now. So I'll start with a few specifics. I love going to the movies and I do not love sharing popcorn. I also won't order a small. I hate backtracking. I think fast and sometimes I talk fast. I'm ambitious. I love dogs and cats. I really don't like cooked tomatoes. My life is actually pretty good right now, but it would be awesome to add someone to it. I'm pretty serious about my career. I love my job and work really hard to be successful at it....that being said I also really work to maintain a work life balance. I love staying active, I play tennis year round, I LOVE skiing, and in the summer try to get out on the grind, and go mountain biking. It would be great to meet someone who is active as well and shares a couple of my interests. While I like lots of time together, I think its good when couples have their own interests too.I'm definitely the kind of girl who can dress up or down, and fit in a variety of situations. I wear suits to the office but love camping. While I do keep busy, I also like downtime. I really enjoy reading and having quiet nights at home, whether its by myself or catching up with friends over a glass of wine. My friends and family are very important to me and I make sure they are a priority in my life. Any questions just ask. I'm pretty much up for anything, coffee, drink, however, something fun like throwing a frisbee or playing bocce will definitely perk my interest!
