About Me

Underneath my candy-sweet exterior you'll find a rapier wit, more than your daily recommended dose of nerdiness and a surprisingly bawdy, often pitch-black sense of humour. I love knowledge for its own sake, especially the trivial, the arcane and the downright weird. I'm also the proud owner of a very vivid imagination. If I see a tent, I will dream up a circus. In my free time, I love writing, drawing and spending time in nature, especially hiking or kayaking. There's also definitely something to be said for spending a night in - cooking, watching movies, savouring a glass of wine and just enjoying good company and conversation.A librarian by training, I'm a voracious reader of anything from literary fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels to the backs of cereal boxes, dimestore novels and those old, bedraggled Readers' Digests at the doctor's office. Studying history and world cultures is also something that I find really fascinating. Sometimes I entertain daydreams about building a time machine to go do anachronistic, horribly inappropriate things in other eras that will bemuse and baffle the people who rightly belong there.A confession: I am that creature rarer and more mystical than the unicorn - a girl gamer. Hand me an XBox ***controller and I will happily button-mash for hours. My not-so- Penguins and icebergs for the win). Ideally, I'm looking for someone kind, attractive and funny to share wacky sitcom-style adventures. Maybe we can even work our way up to the kind of romance that inspires sonnets. If that sounds like something you'd be up for, message me and let's get this show on the road. :P For a first date, I always enjoy doing something simple and relaxed like grabbing a drink, tossing a frisbee around or going for a stroll in the park. It gives us time to hang out and leaves room for spontaneity, which is great.

I love having fun and meeting new people. Anyone who likes to laugh, has a great sense of humor and is outgoing would have fun with me. I am very organized, definitely a planner. I like to read, kayak, watch movies, go out with friends, spend time with my daughters, listen to music. Something entertaining, interesting and preferably something I've never done before.

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT! I have 2 kids both girls, they are my every thing and no one will come before them.. I work a full time job, I am NOT looking for a one night stand or booty call. so if that is your interest your waisting your time.. I do not " need" a man in my life. if you are there it's because I want you to be. I like to be spontaneous, have fun enjoy cold beer by the fire. drive up the mountain side. float the river..I'm shy at first, but typically warm up quickly. other wise I'm a sarcastic smart ass and do a decent job at keeping up with the best.. guys face the facts, if you look at a girl's profile you talk to them because there is a physical attraction..so in return if you do not have a picture posted I will not speak to you... bottom line is if there is no attraction at first glance, no one takes a risk to find out what some one is like on the inside. don't pass up a good thing, before you know how good it really can be. who really knows that answer? let's do what ever sounds good at that time.
