I am a hopeless romantic who just went through a bad breakup but I am looking to make some friends, preferably of the nerdy/geek variety. As to my geek interests, I really enjoyed playing Magic: The Gathering although it has been 5 years since I've played in a sanctioned match. I even like big band music and old crooners. For movies I've been on a kick where I don't want to watch anything too depressing. Movies for me are a way to escape, not to be reminded of past situations. Pretty much any fantasy and gory movie I'm going to like (if I haven't already seen it).For books, I just finished catching up on Song of Fire and Ice.N. I like playing video games even though they've been gathering dust the last few months. I work for everything I have and thats the way I like it. I am easygoing but very independent. Im still finding myself and having alot of fun in the process, I have plenty of time. I live each day to the fullest. You only get one shot so whats the hurry. I am a very positive thinking person and always smiling. I think I have a big spirit and alot of times people cant handle me but thats alright cause this is me. What you see is what you get. I try to be honest, have dignity and honor in everything I do. I like to think that I'm a good person and fun to be around. I get told all the time that I'm pretty funny, I love to laugh and I like to make others laugh. I'm smart and hard working and I love to have a good time with whoever I'm around. I am a very independant and i know how to take care of myself..this seems to scare some guys off, im still not sure why. lol. I am a strong willed person and I am not afraid to give my opinion or stand up for myself (i thought that was the best way to put it nicely that I can be a **** lol) so if that isnt something you would like in a girl then no need to *** have a lot of respect for myself and others and I expect the same in return from people I meet. That being said, I would like to find someone to date and do things together and have fun, if it turns into more then thats great but if not then at least we got to enjoy each others company and hopefully made a new friend, right? In the long run I would like to find that special someone but at the same time I don't want to jump head first into something that may not work out because we moved to fast. Does that make sense? lolI have a heart of gold and I'm willing to give it to someone that will respect it, cherrish it and remember how lucky they are each day to have my heart...and of course I'd be willing to give the same thing in return to the right person that will treat me like i deserve.I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family, hanging out with friends, going out for a few drinks every now and then, shopping, watching good movies, watching some tv, going to concerts, going out to eat, going to the lake or camping, reading, and playing with my dog. For a first date I'd just like for it to be simple and fun...something where we can talk and get to know each other and have fun at the same time.
