Hey there! I'm a girl who has always lived by the motto of "work hard, play hard." I value my career and have worked hard to get where I am today. I feel incredibly lucky to have a job that I love and one that allows me to work on an issue I'm passionate about: protecting the environment. I travel a decent amount for work so my vacations have to include at least a few days of laying by a pool or at the beach. Plus, I lived at the beach for four years post-undergrad, so I need my fix from this land-locked state! Love listening to music and discovering new bands. I like all kinds of music, but my favorite type is probably indie.Friends and family are a huge part of my life. I love spending time with them and playing auntie to my friend's kids. I am a hopeless romantic who just went through a bad breakup but I am looking to make some friends, preferably of the nerdy/geek variety. As to my geek interests, I really enjoyed playing Magic: The Gathering although it has been 5 years since I've played in a sanctioned match. I even like big band music and old crooners. For movies I've been on a kick where I don't want to watch anything too depressing. Movies for me are a way to escape, not to be reminded of past situations. Pretty much any fantasy and gory movie I'm going to like (if I haven't already seen it).For books, I just finished catching up on Song of Fire and Ice.N. I like playing video games even though they've been gathering dust the last few months.
