About Me

Here's what I want and have decided I am not settling for less. I want a man who can see I have my plate full and is willing to love and support my stand on raising my kids. I want a man I can pray with and know when times are hard he's hitting his knees not the bar. I want a man that I'm so attracted to that my heart jumps every time I see him or hear his voice. I want a man who can love and respect my kids and realize they aren't competing for my love with them. There's no comparison. I want a man who can give me space and let me breath but hold me tight and never let me go. More than anything I want man who will understand sex is supposed to be between a husband and wife and I want the next man I give myself to, to be my husband. I'm tired of making mistake after mistake because of my weakness and lust.I want to be strong and respected for it. Not pressured because of my past or our age. I know God has this for me! I won't settle for less again in my life. Even if it means I struggle with this deep aching loneliness for years to come. I won't settle again. First dates are always interesting. However, I'd like to talk and get to know someone a little before any dates. Then we'd decide from there. I am a Southern girl and I like country. I like a good southern gentleman that can show a lady a good time the southern way. Dirt roads, fishing, walking trails, back of a pick up truck and the stars and the radio dancing in the moon light is my kind of night. If we lived closer to the ocean that would be awesome for a date but we don't and with my kids I can't go that far without making plans way ahead of time. So with all that said I don't want a nasty redneck type guy that doesn't bathe or brush his teeth. A true southern gentleman with a sweet smile and can charm the heck out of my heart is what I want... A man that can respect me and really see that I am a woman of worth and effort to get to know. I am not about a one night stand or just getting busy with it. I am worth so much more than that and I want someone to see that in me.

    I am not very good at talking about myself, but here goes...I am looking for my best friend, my other half, partner in crime.At this point in my life, I feel like I know what i want & what I don't want. For example, I have never been skiing, on a boat or off the east coast. I would like to try some new adventures & to travel to places I have only dreamed of.     I'm a bit of a jack (or jill?) of all trades type lady. I really like good (and sometimes weird) food, but I'm not a food snob (still eat Ramen on a biweekly basis just because I like the taste). I love really great music (and try to see as much live music as I can), but am not above enjoying a little crappy top 40. I like to work out, and do it like 3 or 4 times a week, but, you know, sometimes I just can't be bothered (and it's getting pretty chilly outside). I love books, and read maybe 2 a month, but can def appreciate a little reality TV now and then. I'm pretty mellow overall, but can get pretty freaking fired up about stuff at times (small example: throwing cigarettes out of car windows- who does that??). I'm a girl who wants stuff to be better, and wants to be part of making said stuff better. I want to feel like I'm doing something with my time that feels important to someone somewhere. To that end, I've been working as an RN (most recently in a very large and busy ER), and am liking the weirdness/intensity of that so far. I'm looking for a chill type guy, who's comfortable with himself. I'd like to meet a man who reads, and has something to say about what he reads. If he has a pretty strong environmental ethic going on, that's super attractive to me. Running/biking/any type of outdoorsy-hijinks- definate plus as well. I like a good douchebag as much as the next girl... but am not super interested in dating one right now... something to keep in mind, fellas. I like a low-key first date. I think you can't go too wrong with a good beer and walk. Maybe with my dog? (full disclosure- she's not really my dog, she's my mom's- but she's basically mine too and I steal her all the time because she's amazing).
