I've traveled a lot, but I grew up on an island and love that littleness. I'm a practical thinker and problem solver, and I say what is on my mind. I'm a mom to two little guys, but I do get a fair amount of free time when they are with their dad... I'm health conscious and fairly active, and won't do well with a beer guzzling couch potato... not that I don't like a good beer! Also, I like to stay in shape and be outdoors, but sorry, I'm not going to go rock climbing with you, or do anything in the rain except run for cover. If it requires Gortex and a lot of gear, I'm out. Walk around Greenlake? Yep. Snowshoeing? Nope... Okay, maybe occasional INDOOR rock climbing, since I did try that and kinda liked it... Being a dad is a plus, so that you get the beautiful chaos of parenting... Unlike the girl in Singles, I am looking for more than someone who will say bless you when I sneeze (but that's pretty essential). It's not about having someone to hold the door for me, it's about you being the kind of guy who grabs the door for me and then holds it for the people behind us because you're a considerate person. If you happen to be LEFT of center AND like country music, that's a bonus too, but I know that's asking A LOT. And yeah, yeah, I do like other types of music, sigh... What's YOUR story? Hi there.... this is my first time trying one of these sites, so I am not sure how this is going to all sound.... but here it goes! I love to do things outside; hike, bike, kayak, whatever I can. I have been teaching 5th grade for the last 6 years and love it. I hope to continue my education by getting my masters degree within the next few years and eventually want to go to Interior Decorating school as well. I am a very passionate and dedicated person, whether that is dealing with school or fun! I don't really know what this means, but if it is asking "What is my idea of a great first date?" well then.... To me a great first day would include the man coming to pick me up, flowers are always nice, opening the door for me and driving! Then having drinks somewhere with dinner shortly after that. Finally, a nice glass of wine and a conversation while sitting outside so there is plenty of time to talk and get to know one another. That is one idea for a great first date.

First dates should not be overly busy...coffee, drink, or dinner are good for starters. Someone with whom a stimulating conversation is possible. How a man treats the wait staff of a restaurant or service personnel, for example, is a good indication of his character. A gentle soul does not diminish masculinity. I am looking for someone with compassion, kindness, good humor, and WHO DOES NOT HUNT FOR SPORT AND LAUGHS. (IN CAPS BECAUSE NO ONE SEEMS TO SEE IT OTHERWISE)
