I don't NEED a man, but would like to find one to share my life with. As harsh as this may sound, I will not settle. I always say, I'd rather be single and lonely than married and miserable. I just recently bought my own house. It is so nice to have a place to call HOME, rather than just a dumping ground for my stuff. My apartment was a place to shower, eat, and lay my head at night. Now I can finally take pride in my home, and love to decorate to make it a cozy and inviting place to relax and entertain friends.I absolutely love my job! Not too many people can say that, so I feel pretty lucky! I take my job seriously and try to provide my students with experiences that I never had growing up. Some kids these days lack positive role models. Kindness is key. I tell them, "You may be sitting next to your worst enemy, but in this classroom, we are ALL friends!" And not to boast, but my students love me. Being a teacher is very rewarding....and FUN! I get to play and work simultaneously! We are a package deal. They are my babies, so you must be a dog lover! :)I have a handful of close girlfriends that I adore. We like to hang out and watch movies, go dancing, craft, exercise, lay by the pool and go shopping (of course!).I like a lot of music. Some music I like because I can relate, some music makes me want to dance, some songs are classics, and some you don't know why, but you just like them! I am always open to listening to new artists.......random one-hit wonders....hahha!I am not perfect, but nobody is. I have my flaws, and am willing to compromise. I am easy-going for the most part and laid back. I definitely want children. I'm not saying that it has to be in the near future, but if you don't like or want children, please don't waste your time. I am looking for a long-term relationship and know I will make a great mother and wife when the time is right and the right person comes into my life.My ideal guy would be HONEST, masculine, intelligent, stable, hard-working, and family oriented. I need a man, not a boy. This may seem like a strange comment, but if you are gay, bi or confused, please don't respond. I have been down that road and don't wish to go back. I need a man that knows what he wants. I need a man who will enjoy being taken care of, and will reciprocate, and take care of me, as well. I believe there is a thin line between confidence and being OVERLY confident. Being too into yourself is not attractive. NO PLAYERS PLEASE! I'm over game playing and DRAMA. Will the Real Slim Shady please... stop messaging me??? Soooo, I love sun, live music, good food, my stellar friends, off beat movies, vintage shopping, art, and a little adventure. I've traveled a lot, but I grew up on an island and love that littleness. I'm a practical thinker and problem solver, and I say what is on my mind. I'm a mom to two little guys, but I do get a fair amount of free time when they are with their dad... I'm health conscious and fairly active, and won't do well with a beer guzzling couch potato... not that I don't like a good beer! Also, I like to stay in shape and be outdoors, but sorry, I'm not going to go rock climbing with you, or do anything in the rain except run for cover. If it requires Gortex and a lot of gear, I'm out. Walk around Greenlake? Yep. Snowshoeing? Nope... Okay, maybe occasional INDOOR rock climbing, since I did try that and kinda liked it... Being a dad is a plus, so that you get the beautiful chaos of parenting... Unlike the girl in Singles, I am looking for more than someone who will say bless you when I sneeze (but that's pretty essential). It's not about having someone to hold the door for me, it's about you being the kind of guy who grabs the door for me and then holds it for the people behind us because you're a considerate person. If you happen to be LEFT of center AND like country music, that's a bonus too, but I know that's asking A LOT. And yeah, yeah, I do like other types of music, sigh... What's YOUR story? First off, I'm very sarcastic and love to laugh. If you can't take a joke, I'm not the one for you. I'm a fun loving mother of one. My daughter is my life and I couldn't imagine life without her. I am 5'4 with a medium build, I have reddish- brown hair and greenish eyes. What I'm looking for in a man is someone who is (emotionally)stable, not into drugs and who has a great sense of humor.
