A little about me...I'm 55 and the single parent of two grown children. I was so busy raising them and building my career that I really didn't take time out to date. Now that I'm an empty nester, I'm lookiing forward to moving on to the next stage in my life. I truly am looking for a life partner, even though at times it is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.Traveling for pleasure is something that I very much enjoy - primarily to warm locations. I would love to further explore the Caribbean, as well as finally take that cruise I've been dreaming of. Exploring Europe is also on my bucket list.I can be a couch potato, Cuddling up next to you and watching the latest OSU game or a good television show is a great way to relax.I do have a bit of an adventurous streak though! I've been skydiving, hot air ballooning, parasailing and ziplining. I love to snorkel, and am interested in learning to scuba dive.I believe that relationships take time to grow and flourish. I will have great respect for you if you understand that I would like to establish a degree of mental intimacy before seeking physical intimacy.Family is important to me. I have a great relationship with my kids and grandkids, and see them often. I'm also very close to my parents. Should you and I decide that we are a match, I would welcome your family as well.; however, I would love to find more time to spend at the beach. However, what I lack in the cooking department, I more than make up for in the nurturing department.My job requires a good bit of overnight travel during the week, but I am almost always home on Fridays and the weekend. If the right man comes along, I might consider retiring or switching careers to a more traditional Monday through Friday job.Please note that I only feel comfortable responding to profiles with pictures attached.     I'm happy and fulfilled in most aspects of life - but missing the right guy. I'm not someone who has to date around, I'm more content in a happy, fun and healthy relationship. It boils down to chemistry....you can't describe why or what it is, it's just there and you both know it. I think hobbies, jobs, kids, and interests, etc. are important but none of it can define the chemistry that can't be explained - or denied if it's there. For those who are not buying any of that.... I am a single mom of one grown (on her own) and 2 teenage boys who are the best boys ever. I have a great group of friends, some of whom I've known since childhood. I work full time as exec. asst and love my job. I try to get to the gym as much as possible (love/hate) and love to cook for those who love my cooking! I share custody of my boys so I have lots of free time now. I really love to be active and be outdoors when the weather is nice. Not a big fan of winter so having someone to either get me 'out there' during the cold months or hibernate with would be a good thing. Meet first...then decide if there will be a first date.
