I guess I will start out being honest, I have been living a very boring life. I work and come home and hang out with my family and my animals. Yes I do love my cats. Like most everyone I am looking to find that special someone to grow older with. I have so much love to offer someone. I enjoy listening to older music that you can understand the words to, oops maybe I'm giving away my age but thats okay. I am a grandmother of 1 and another on the way, I just can't wait, so excited. I have 3 great adult children that do not live with me, but we do keep in touch a few times a week. Im not great at this so thats it for now Hanging out with drinks or dinner to get to know each other better

... Think Mrs. Cleaver meets Bette Middler with a little Mae West attitude - can be a country girl , but cleans up nicely for a night on the town. (Cannot sing though- no karaoke for me.) Wears heels but goes barefoot at every opportunity. Knows how to behave properly when required, but is by no means conservative or reserved. Would probably drive a right wing Republican crazy, and not in a good way. Hi- thanks for taking a few minutes to read my profile. So much reading and clicking, so little time! With just a few words, how can you convey the kind of person you are? I'm a mixture of geek, girl next door, professional, wit, and chameleon. Able to get along with almost anyone, and have fun where I am in the moment. Love to have friends over for dinner, or meet at a winery for a picnic, but if the wine there is bad, have been known to smuggle in my own. You know they never check the labels, right? Ready to enjoy life and find the good in others, but not anyone's fool. Now, the (almost) truth: My beauty dazzles even the most jaded, (if the lights are very dim and I shine the flashlight directly in the viewer's eyes). My wit is incomparable. Not one person has come up with a suitable comparison. My bucket list includes actually jumping off a bridge with a friend. We'll take turns going first. Have the perfect bridge lined up- twenty foot drop into a lake, great swimming. I make the best apple cobbler and coconut cake in the world. Can carry on intellectual conversations, give career advice, tell jokes, and entertain. Delicate, demure and able to chop wood if stuck in the wilderness.Just so you know, I have the mobile meetville app on my phone, and I think it makes it look like I am always on line. I'm not... although sometimes I log on to check messages and forget to log off. I don't like to IM, or text constantly and can't at work, so an *** I'm happy, smart, direct, very funny, easy to talk to, better looking than my pictures, (unless you are visually impaired and already think I am gorgeous, in which case, I look just like my pictures!) Always up for trying something new. Love my work, and am very good at it. I'd rather do than watch, so am not a big TV person.Love to do projects where I can see the tangible result of my effort- refinish a piece of furniture, paint, plant flowers, graffiti churches....I'm a morning person but will rally and stay up late if we're out doing something.Hit the gym early mornings, like to take walks in the evening. Disclaimers:I like to watch live sports- not couch potato TV sports, believe good pizza is a gift from God, and do not think hot dogs should be outlawed. I avoid mean and negative people. Although I like a nice glass of wine now and then, or a margarita when it's hot, I'm not much of a drinker- really, I'm a light weight. The gym is a regular part of my life - a good thing, since I like to cook and to eat, but I'll never be a stick thin gym diva. It's important to be healthy and in shape, to live a healthy lifestyle. (But a slice of pizza is still ok.)Will date a smoker, but will strongly encourage you to quit. Cigars are fine on occasion- I actually love the smell of cigars. But if I care about you I will want you to hang around for a good long time- preferably without an oxygen tank.I cannot sing. Even in the shower... it is painful. But I can dance. It's just not safe to do that in the shower. Would love to find a guy who likes to dance... but I'll go out with my girlfriends and get my fix. If I have to. The first meeting is not really a first date- so we'll assume that we've met, thoroughly enjoyed our time together, found out that we look like our pictures, and are who we say we are... and couldn't wait to see each other again. For our first meeting, we will promise, in advance, not to wear white socks with black shoes, not show up with spinach in our teeth (or let each other leave that way), not be twenty years older than our pictures indicate, and not carry any concealed weaponry. First date: Depends on personalities and interests but should be at a place where we could talk without too much noise, and get to know each other a little better. I know! Scuba diving! Maybe not. Cooking class? Wine tasting? (Not BYOB) We could take a walk and people watch, ask probing questions, maybe have dinner and continue getting to know each other.

I am totally naive re how dating is done nowadays. I am looking for satisfied, smart men who have been through perhaps tough times - but have come out the other side still intact. I am a newbie (though learning as I go) to this all. Looking for honesty and guidance as I find my bearings. Up front I have to admit that I am a bookworm. I like nothing more than getting lost in a good read. Given the choice I will most often choose a book over television. Though I love a night out with dinner and a movie. As I've gotten older I'v become more content with the simple things in life. I've hit all career aspirations, my children are on the cusp of independence - well, emotionally at least... I really like what I do (clinical psychologist working in the field of test development) and feel like I am entering a new chapter of life. I am newly single and have no idea how to be single again. The rules, expectations and process are new and foriegn to say nothing about the fact that I am 20 years older then I was last - single. So I am in the mode of exploration. I hope for great adventures! Looking for someone to accompany me on the way! I am looking for someone I relate to well as a friend...thereafter we will see where things go.! Perhaps a cup of coffee somewhere off the beaten track (not Starbucks!)....)I need some guidance here as I have not been on a date for a really long time!
