I am totally naive re how dating is done nowadays. I am looking for satisfied, smart men who have been through perhaps tough times - but have come out the other side still intact. I am a newbie (though learning as I go) to this all. Looking for honesty and guidance as I find my bearings. Up front I have to admit that I am a bookworm. I like nothing more than getting lost in a good read. Given the choice I will most often choose a book over television. Though I love a night out with dinner and a movie. As I've gotten older I'v become more content with the simple things in life. I've hit all career aspirations, my children are on the cusp of independence - well, emotionally at least... I really like what I do (clinical psychologist working in the field of test development) and feel like I am entering a new chapter of life. I am newly single and have no idea how to be single again. The rules, expectations and process are new and foriegn to say nothing about the fact that I am 20 years older then I was last - single. So I am in the mode of exploration. I hope for great adventures! Looking for someone to accompany me on the way! I am looking for someone I relate to well as a friend...thereafter we will see where things go.! Perhaps a cup of coffee somewhere off the beaten track (not Starbucks!)....)I need some guidance here as I have not been on a date for a really long time!
