About Me

Hi, there! For example, I want to try geocaching ... would you like to join me? I'm up for new ideas for fun, too!It would be great to find a mature, well-rounded guy with whom to celebrate life. I'm looking for a man with a positive outlook and a curiosity about the things that happen around us. This man should recognize that some questions just don't have answers, but it's still enlightening - even fun - to discuss. He doesn't have to be worldly, but I think that a deliberate exposure to the world around us helps us figure out which questions to ask. For example, what color is the number three? And, how many licks does it take to get to the middle of a Tootsie-Pop?Physical characteristics aren't as important to me as a man's intelligence, sense of humor, coping skills, work ethic, and personality/attitude. I do appreciate a man who dresses appropriately for the occasion, and who has a sense of style (even a casual sense). I don't have a huge ego, so writing about myself is hard to do. I am independent and resourceful, but that's mostly because I've had to be. I'm best as part of a team ... a partnership. I miss: having someone's back and knowing he has mine; discovering ways to spend time with the man who owns my heart; silly conversations that go nowhere except straight to our funny bones; deeper conversations about what we'd change about the world; cooking his favorite meal; snuggling on the couch for a movie with popcorn; enjoying small, casual gatherings together with family and friends ... the list goes on. Drop me a line, and tell me about yourself. I prefer a casual setting where we could continue the conversation we've started online/by phone. Coffee, drinks, dinner ... something like that. P.S. Sooooo, if we meet and you're nothing like the man your profile depicts, you are required to introduce me to your boss, your brother, your neighbor ... or whoever you were describing in the About Me section. K? :-)

I don't even have a return ticket home yet and I'm not in any hurry to go back. But I am taking this opportunity to help with my Grandfather's care and keeping an open mind as to where this is leading me. Hello....I'm glad you stopped by. I am hoping to be in the right place at the right time to meet the right fellow. I live in the rural neck of the woods and I am ready to share my life. It's hard to find a good match in such a small pond. I am blessed with a home and beautiful surroundings but I am not necessarily anchored here. I am open-minded about life. I believe what goes around comes around and try to live my life with that in mind. I appreciate all types of music like Blues, Jazz, Classic Rock, Country, and some Rap can be fun to dance to. I also enjoy music from the 50's and 60's. Remember songs like, "; "; "Downtown," "This Guy's in Love," "I Only Have Eyes for You," "Cherish," "; "I Say a Little Prayer for You," "You're Just Too Good to be True (I Love You Baby)?" Ok, sappy, but I like it. And...ok....totally by accident (of course), I was listening to an old Bee Gee's YouTube upload....The greatest songs, I believe it was called.... like.... "More Than a Woman to Me," (amongst others) and I rather enjoyed it. I would like to be more active (it's better when you can do things with someone). Clubs, dinner, rides at the fair, and traveling would be fun. I would also like someone to show me some of their interests such as golf or snow skiing if that's what you like. I also like hanging out at home, watching TV, surfing the web, walks, cooking or making a garden with someone special. I have done many different things in life. I used to play and sing in a band, worked with the elderly, worked with children, and developmentally challenged adults and children. I have worked in a restaurant/pub during the day. I am one math class away from an associates degree (I'm not much of a math girl). But over all I would consider myself a musician/singer more than anything else. Harmony has always come naturally to me and it would really be a plus if we could share that interest. I'm not afraid of a microphone and a stage :) I don't like control freaky types of people but that doesn't mean I don't like someone to lead or guide, or even protect as a gentleman would do. I am not threatened by a more traditional type of relationship. I would like to find my best friend and it turn into love or vice versa. Someone who makes me feel like I want to be a better person and who finds that in me as well. Someone who accepts this red head exactly the way I am. I am honest, loyal, giving and an individual. Very Much luck to you. > ´¯`·.¸¸..> ·´¯`·.¸¸..> A coffee shop sounds cool...or Walmart, where we can push each other around on a grocery cart and have a frozen coke ;)

Ahh... the empty nest. So much freedom, but it would be so much more fun with a companion! And what might that ideal companion look like? Well, I've been around the block enough to know that this is not the kind of thing for which I can make a wish list....if I do, I'll miss out on the unexpected serendipitous match. But there are a few things I do know....You must be a light or non-drinker. Alcohol Has not been a part of my life for nearly 10 years, and it can't be a big part of yours... Or we won't match.A sense of humor is hugely important - without that, life gets just too serious. I love to laugh, but I'm terrible at remembering the punchline for jokes... I'll be a wonderful audience for you! A sense of curiosity interests me...... I've spent a considerable amount of time on personal growth, and enjoy people who are curious about themselves and the live they are creating for themselves. For me, I've learned that acceptance is the answer to most of my problems. If I'm bothered about some particular person, place or thing, then it's time I adjust my own attitude, rather than focusing on what needs to be changed outside of myself.Exploring and traveling is where it's at! The arts nourish me....I'm still amazed at the cultural experience that can be had here in the Bay Area....and the list goes on. I love live music, theater and I'm a movie buff as well. The title for my profile came from a play/chic flick. Bonus points if you can guess it! Recently, I've started singing in a vocal ensemble again and am having fun, although I don't seem to be the virtuoso I remembered I was.....! I am a compassionate person, and appreciate that quality in others. Having a positive outlook on life, seeing the glass as half-full, rather than half-empty, is very important to me. But when it comes down to it, my wish list comes to down to two things. I think it's all about that magical combination of companionship and compatibility, however it comes about! It doesn't seem to work if it's only one or the other. I'd love to hear from you if you think your wish list might match mine. Coffee at the Farmer's market, then a walk around the pier is a great way to get to know each other!
