If I were a guy, I would want to date me. :} Still have my accent, I'm told.I am trying to look at men with a more objective eye (actually with both eyes...) I try to remember to ask myself, for example, "If this guy was a woman (and I'm not attracted to women, though I do like them as friends) would I want to hang out with him?" I also like to ask myself, "If I don't do this, is it something I will regret not doing on my deathbed." Not not doing it ON my deathbed, of course, because I'll be too busy dying then, but you know what I mean...Write grant proposals for nonprofits. to raise funds for domestic violence currently; working on my novel and being the best me I can be! I'M REALLY GOOD AT: Communication cuddling, making people laugh (though often unintentionally!), making people feel comfortable enough to open up to me, compassion, love, being a good friend and being a great mother to my dogs (who have since passed). It's been awhile but I recall that when there is chemistry and I am being treated as well as I deserve to be, I am really good at kissing too :}. THE FIRST THINGS PEOPLE USUALLY NOTICE ABOUT ME: My good energy, my smile, my face, my body, my legs, my English accent, my dry sense of humour, that I'm funny and intelligent and attractive. FAVORITE BOOKS, MOVIES, SHOWS,MUSIC AND FOOD: So many books - too many. My favourite authors are dead (though I've been forcing myself to read contemporary fiction as it helps me to write in a more contemporary style): F. I hope you like reading too... I love great movies - mostly independent and foreign. Can't think of any right now.. Love Adele, Amy Winehouse, Blues, the Finn Bros and more. Love good Indian food Thai, Mexican (but too damn fattening!) Pretty much any food that doesn't only focus on meat and chicken. I'm a semi-veggie (or pescatarian) just eat fish and sea food. I don't care if my partner eats meat. In fact, they all have... I love to find places to eat with food that tastes good but is healthy, or finding recipes that are low calorie without unnecessary fat... like adding oil to rice in Persian restaurants...why would anyone do that?! THE SIX THINGS I COULD NEVER DO WITHOUT: Dogs (my last one passed in November ***and I'm waiting for the right time to get another), my friends, my health, my creative abilities, my spiritual life, exercising, yoga and meditation I SPEND A LOT OF TIME THINKING ABOUT: Mysticism, the deeper reason for things e.g. life lessons as in I believe life is a school and we're here to overcome challenges, ideas for my novel, my personal and career goals. THE MOST PRIVATE THING I'M WILLING TO ADMIT: I'm shallow but I'm deep in places..I can be shallow about superficial things like looks and chemistry and attraction and the way most people spell "your" when they mean "you're" as in "you are," and compliment when they mean complement, which as a writer, I ****ing HATE but as I love some of the people who do this, I have to remind myself that destroying the English language is a triviality (Or at least I try to tell myself it is...). YOU SHOULD MESSAGE ME IF: You want to find your best friend who's kind, supportive, loyal, fun and funny and intelligent - and your greatest lover - all rolled together into one sexy package. If you want a woman with whom, when your lips and bodies touch, you feel as if you belong together. And, amazingly, you love her on the inside too! You're looking for someone who's as passionate in and out of bed as you are and with whom you can crack up and be silly too and eat stuff in bed and watch movies and cuddle after... I have a lot of positive qualities and that's what I'm looking for in a man so we can share something amazing together. And hopefully can remain intrigued enough to want to keep on discovering stuff about each other until it's time to pass over. (sorry didn't mean to spoil the moment...:}**PLEASE READ:** ON COMMUNICATING: It's impossible for me to tell if I have a connection with someone who writes a sentence fragment, or one or two sentences and has a skeleton profile. I have to be with someone who knows how to communicate. But I gather these guys just look at the photos and continue to send fascinating messages such as "hi" or "how are you?" ON THE AGE THING: I am 55 but feel and look in my early to mid-40s. My primary pic was taken this year. Can't change my age on this thing. Tend to be physically attracted to guys a bit younger than I am (from early 40s). But if you're my age or a bit older and have lots of energy and hair (on your head :}) and haven't let yourself go, it's not a dealbreaker. ON CHILDREN: I prefer not to date men with children unless they don't live with you, or they're grown up (it would be helpful if the man is grown up too :}) I only know how to be a good mother to dogs! Some men write "My children will always come first." I'm sure it's because I don't have kids that this is a turn-off, but it is what it is. "More Than a Woman to Me," (amongst others) and I rather enjoyed it. I would like to be more active (it's better when you can do things with someone). Clubs, dinner, rides at the fair, and traveling would be fun. I would also like someone to show me some of their interests such as golf or snow skiing if that's what you like. I also like hanging out at home, watching TV, surfing the web, walks, cooking or making a garden with someone special. I have done many different things in life. I used to play and sing in a band, worked with the elderly, worked with children, and developmentally challenged adults and children. I have worked in a restaurant/pub during the day. I am one math class away from an associates degree (I'm not much of a math girl). But over all I would consider myself a musician/singer more than anything else. Harmony has always come naturally to me and it would really be a plus if we could share that interest. I'm not afraid of a microphone and a stage :) I don't like control freaky types of people but that doesn't mean I don't like someone to lead or guide, or even protect as a gentleman would do. I am not threatened by a more traditional type of relationship. I would like to find my best friend and it turn into love or vice versa. Someone who makes me feel like I want to be a better person and who finds that in me as well. Someone who accepts this red head exactly the way I am. I am honest, loyal, giving and an individual.
