About Me

I've been on this site for a little while now, and although I've met some very nice men I haven't met the guy that makes my heart skip a beat. I'm looking for a professional guy who has a great sense of humor, is hard working, fiscally sound, and values his relationships. I enjoy spending time with intelligent men who are confident but not arrogant.- even at himself! :DI could tell you what a fantastic "catch" I am, but then my profile would sound just like thousands of others - and I'm many things, but not run-of-the-mill. People make assumptions about me when we first meet. I surprise them, even years later. I'm not a thrill seeker, but have the mindset of an adventurer. I enjoy seeking out new places and experiences. I'm curious and intelligent, organzed but not rigid. (An ESTP for those who know about MBTI.)For example, my favorite vacations are pretty free-form. We had a rental car, vouchers for each night we'd be there, and a vague plan of what we wanted to see. Our GPS took us down some interesting roads - we laughed a lot and made so many wonderful memories.I'm looking for a man who is willing to travel with me. Life is short - let's make some memories of our own! For an initial meet-and-greet the standard coffee, drinks after work, lunch, or ice cream work. When it comes to a first date I think it's easier to get to know someone when you have an activity you're both involved in. So maybe....going out for pizza, shooting pool, a trip to an aquarium or zoo, going to a flea market or bookstore, taking a cooking class together, checking out an exhibit at a museum, antiquing (I don't know anything about them but think the history behind things is fascinating), wine tasting, sightseeing or people watching, or finding a place with good music and maybe a little dancing? (Or please, suggest something - I love surprises! ;D )

I am an old soul who is young at heart. I look for the positive thing in life. I love nature and being outdoors. Hiking in the forest or sitting on the beach are my idea of heaven. When the weather is nice you'll find me working in the garden or relaxing on the porch with an iced tea or coffee.I don't wear a lot of makeup and am pretty down-to-earth. I am kind-hearted and believe we are all connected. I am looking for a gentle soul that feels the same. I believe grateful people are happy people.I like many types of music - Blues, Jazz, Classical, Rockabilly, R&B, Rock, Gospel, Indie, New Age.I enjoy a good book now and then - the latest was "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle.I love to travel and experience new cultures. My favorite foods are Japanese, Thai and Indian.I am an animal lover so have decided to change to a vegan diet. I would prefer to meet another vegan or vegetarian.I am not religious but consider myself a spiritual person. I lean toward Buddhist ideals. “Quiet time and meditation have become an essential part of my life. I believe that there are many paths to God/Spirit, and that no one path is superior another.“We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.” ~ Thích Nhat Hanh Perhaps start with some *** phone calls, then meet for coffee and conversation.
