About Me

Music - that is a favorite subject of mine. I am a classically trained professional flute player so I appreciate classical music. However, what you will hear in my car on a daily basis is country music. I love to dance....country...salsa....would love to try ballroom!Goals & Aspirations - At some point, I want to get my doctorate degree. Truth be told my greatest goal is to be a wife and mother. The unfortunate part of that goal is.... I can not apply to the college of life and earn a wife and mother degree in 2 years. This is not guaranteed even if I maintain a high grade point average and don't miss class! :)What makes me unique? I will have to think on that for awhile!Hobbies - family, friends, flute, dancing, sports, movies....does this sound like interests?Do you know who I am at this point? Probably not! It is hard to give someone a description of another person. What can I say I am just me. (that helps right?)It is impossible to describe a person on paper, but hopefully what you have read makes you want to find out more. It seems that the people who "love" me the most are children. Which is good considering I am a teacher. :) My friend's three boys think I am the best thing since chocolate milk. Is it because I can make airplanes, push swings, climb forts, and play fun games? I don't know but hopefully, someone else will "love" these things about me, too!

Woman. 34 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.

Looking for: man. In age: 31-41

This is the part where I am supposed to Razzle, Dazzle you with my wit and charm in an effort to spark your interest in my personality, appearance and intelligence..... BUT no pressure - right? LOL Me: I am a true Sagitarian through and through. I can be stubborn and determined, but am always willing to communicate, listen and compromise. I love deeply and completely, and am very loyal. Known to friends as a passionate, professional, career driven woman, who loves to laugh, spend time with friends and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. I have a great sense of humour and speak sarcasm fluently. I enjoy cooking, traveling, running, Bikram yoga and reading. I'm equal parts silly and serious. A typical weekend is spent with friends enjoying a pint of beer at a local pub, going to hot yoga, running a 5 or 10km race, trying a new recipe, or a spontaneous road trip. I absolutely love to travel and I try to get away at least twice a year. There are still a ton of places that I want to visit -- I have a successful career in banking (that I love!) that allows me lead a pretty comfortable lifestyle. I live and work downtown and am hoping to meet someone that doesn't live too far away. I like to lead a fairly healthy lifestyle by staying active and eating well (although chocolate and peanut butter are my weaknesses!). I ride my bike to work most of the year (until the snow comes), I run between ***km per week, and I just started practicing Bikram Yoga a few months ago. You: An independent man, who is not afraid to take chances. Preferably you will have a car, and a career of your own. Have a zest for life, and a great sense of humour. Being honest, tolerant, well travelled, AND have the ability to put together full sentences is a bonus! (Please know the difference between YOUR and YOU'RE, THEIR, THERE and THEY'RE). Creativity and romance is always appreciated, as is a liking of good food, wine and fluid conversation. Deal breakers -- Living at home with your parents, multiple children with multiple women, and bad credit! I'm an easy going, free spirited kinda gal, so please do reach out and say a little more than hi, should I have been fortunate enough to have captured your interest.

Woman. 33 years old. Zodiac sign: Pisces.

Looking for: man. In age: 30-40

I'm just finishing my master's degree and finally should have time to start this rat race of dating again. I'll be looking for a new job over the next few months so should have plenty of free time. I'm looking for a friend that could turn into something more. I would like to meet someone who is able to get my mind out of school mode and back into socializing (I've lived in a bubble for the last year). I enjoy staying home but love to go to new places. I love camping and can't wait to find a new place to go this fall!! I am a bit shy at first and have been called a "snob" because I'm quiet but I just need to get to know you. . .then its on. I describe myself as the most impatient indecisive person you'll ever meet. I have strong values and have adopted the philosophy that if you don't like who I am then move on. In the past I have changed my values for people and learned that it changed who I was and didn't like the "new" me. It took me a while but I found myself once again! I am genuine, honest and willing to overextend myself to help others who are in need. I tend to be more sarcastic than funny ha-ha!! I hate talking about myself. So message me to learn more! I like to be surprised, take me somewhere I've never been, show me something new. . .teach me about one of your interests!

Oh the long drawn out - "let's talk about myself part" we all hate....How do you describe yourself on paper, it never adds up to the real thing in my opinion. I'm on here looking for a few things - someone to hang with and have fun, hopefully there is a spark that leads to more...but I'm learning that's harder to find than you think. I'm at a point in my life where I'm happy with who I am and what I'm doing. Am I happy ***no - but who is. I believe in making the best out of life and what you've been given!I am a very independent woman, I believe a relationship is built on trust and compromise. I don't think you have to like the same things - but you do need to appreciate the other person for what they bring. I believe in partnership but also believe in independence. I want a partner who believes in equality for all, but especially in a relationship. Neither person should feel they are "paying for everything, or not able to afford things while the other is out playing." ***is key, but it needs to be based on income not on figures.Overall, I'm pretty simple. I love the arts, mainly theater. I also like football/sports (prefer it live vs. tv). I'm excited that college football is starting...ready for some SEC football! I like going out with friends/family, and I LOVE animals. I have two adorable cats who are my babies. I want to get a dog, but my schedule is not fair to a dog...cats love the "alone" time!I've been on a fitness kick since January and I'm really enjoying it. I also strive to eat healthy and cook most of the time. I'm doing it for me and to be healthy - not ever going to be model skinny and I'm fine with that. I've grown to like my curves and am happy with my body.I also love sports, but prefer to go to the stadium vs tv. I'm loving that SEC football is back - My Dad was a 4th Generation DC native, however I didn't grow up around here...but I still feel it's part of my family tradition to cheer the Skins on! For all other sports I don't have a "home team." NATS, Wizards, Caps are probably my teams just because I was born in the area.I'm also someone who can be comfortable in many situations: I like dressing up and going out (not a huge club fan, but it can be fun once in awhile), I like sitting at home in my comfy clothes. I can go to opera, I can go camping. I think you need to do it all as a couple - share both peoples passions. If you truly love each other - you enjoy the other's passion because you see them enjoying it. I am not a "car/motorcycle fan" but I get those are guys toys. As long as you put me above those (if we are a couple) I am fine. I don't believe those things (Really anything) should trump your partner. If you're interested in chatting - Shoot me a message, I believe friendship can turn into anything if the right connection is there. Also a few things I'm looking for in a man:If you are a guy who can be romantic, surprise a girl with flowers for no reason and you want a girl who can do the same. Think about it what girl doesn't want to be courted throughout life and what guy doesn't want a girl who is willing to come home, cook a nice meal (even if they are not the best cook) relax with their partner and dress sexy.I'm looking to just enjoy life with the right person, it's short. I want a guy who can dress up/down. Go to see a band/show or throw on the jeans and do a hike. Also if you just want to have fun and laugh. I believe everyone comes in our life for a reason and you can never have to many friends. I'm looking for friendship and a true partner but I am realistic you can't jump things. So if you are interested in chatting a bit, grabbing coffee, seeing the sites of the area, etc. Shoot me a message.Note: I am on here hoping Mr. Right will come "fishing" along. I am very realistic that you don't fall in love on the first date/first month (if you do there are some issues we'll discuss later). I want to meet someone - if we have chemistry - go on a second date, and if we find we like each other...get off this site and try things out. You can't have a meaningful relationship if you are still "fishing in the pond/sea!" I'm not on here for casual sex - I'm human, yes i enjoy that part of a relationship and I am far from a prude. But I have that option already and I'm looking for something more meaningful...so If you are married and looking for extra fun, just looking for a sex buddy, or not hoping that Ms. Right will fall in your lap - then we probably won't mesh. I like to make the first date interesting and unique. Surprise me! I am not one who needs extravagant things, a simple dinner out at Chilis (2 for $***is fine. Or maybe a picnic, bowling, going to see a show etc. The point of a first date to me is to see if there is any chemistry and if both parties want to get to know the other party better. To do that you have to make a bit of effort and go in with an open mind. You also need to go somewhere you can actually talk!
