Some people say this but don't actually mean it-I MEAN IT.**Greetings, gents: I just relocated to the area and would like to meet some locals who can show me around town so I can make some friends and have some good people to just hang out and have some laughs with. I'm not ruling out "dating" by any means, but I'm not exactly "looking" for a relationship at the moment; if there's attraction & chemistry-great...if not, it would still be great to make some new friends and aquaintances. At this moment, I'm basically at a place where I'm starting all over in my life-and I'm determined not to repeat the same mistakes and choices that led me to need to start over in the first place. I consider myself to be a kind, decent, intelligent and honest person-BUT-I expect the same qualities in the people I allow in my life. I've learned & experienced a lot in my 35 years-most of the really important lessons I've learned were learned the hard way-but the key word here is "learned". I've learned that NO ONE is perfect-I'm certainly not-and therefore I'm not looking for perfection in another individual-but I am looking to surround myself with people who are always at least trying to better themselves for the sake of being better people. While I'm not a huge fan of meeting people online, I do know a few things about it-one of which is that when writing an online profile and talking about yourself, you're supposed to keep the tone light and fun and upbeat-talk about your hobbies and your taste in music and what you like to do for fun-those types of things. I am well aware of the fact that I am not your stereotypical woman-probably not in any sense of the word-and I am aware that the tone of this "online description" is somewhat serious and not at all "sun-shiny"...but I like to think that I am down-to-earth and I keep things real-and I would bet that if ***people read this, chances are 98 of them are going to continue on to the next profiles-but that's a good thing because I am interested in getting to know the 2 that didn't...those precious few who actually "get" what I'm saying and have the same or similar views. I'm much more interested in quality vs. quantity...it's the quality people I want in my life-I'm done with the other 98%...then I'd like to hear from you. I am NOT like most people-and I see that as a virtue-not a flaw. In the meantime...I look forward to hearing from you. I haven't been on a real first date in a very long time-so I'm game for just about anything within reason. :)
