I am a special education resource teacher and I love what I do! I love to laugh and think it is much better to live life being optimistic..... I was married for over 20 years. Now it is time to start again but it is different at this age because we know so much more about who we are and what we are looking for in a partner. I have two incredible children that I am fortunate to have close relationships with, even though they are out of state. I am told I am spunky and I will tell you like I see it. I am happy, fun, and a little adventurous (however I won't jump out of an airplane!), and have a little bit of a wild side. If that someone also happens to give me butterflies thats an added bonus!I believe that when you meet someone and there is mutual interest/attraction things come naturally, there are no rules, and you don't have to think twice. You could be done fishing or at the very least you made a new friend. Meet and talk, whether its for coffee, a drink or dinner doesn't really matter. You have to start somewhere.

I am the mother of two sons, living with two dogs and a rescue dog. :) My sons are in college (living with me).-Rottie mix (4 year old) and a white American Bulldog ***years old foster dog). They are all rescues. I am an animal lover (obviously) and desire someone who is the same. I am financially and emotionally secure, and like my job. I have a positive outlook on life and believe that no problem is too big to solve. I can complete small home repairs and like to think I'm handy around the house. I try to live in a drama-free zone and enjoy it. I have a few hobbies, which include making stained glass panels, gardening in the summer, making baby blankets for the pregnant women at work, and I like to read. I like to be active, although I'm certainly not a fanatic. Active to me is a walk, bicycle ride, attending a festival, seeing a movie, going to a comedy show or rock or jazz concert, taking my dogs for a walk...anything that involves getting out, meeting new people, and having a good conversation. :) I don't sky dive, bungee jump, or ride roller coasters. :)I believe that in order for a relationship to be successful, the two people must embrace each other just as they are. We all have faults. But the trick is to be able to accept the person just as he/she is, faults and all. I'm not looking to change anyone or smother anyone, and I'm not looking for anyone to change me. If there is a laundry list of things you don't like about me, I'm not the woman for you and the same holds true for me about you. I don't smoke and I am not looking to date a smoker, trying to quit, occasional, or constant. (No offense, but I'm a former smoker and I think I'm true to that old adage...former smokers make the most intolerant nonsmokers.) I eat a fairly healthy diet. I'm looking for a confident man who is generally happy with his life. I would love a strong shoulder to rest my head upon occasionally.
