About Me

"Youth is like spring, an over-praised season more remarkable for biting winds than genial breezes. Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits." --Samuel ButlerHi, there!-- I love it here! I have an 18-year-old son (I'm an "only" parent and he is an only child) and we live with our two dogs and one cat. I enjoy working out, going to movies, corresponding and chatting with my family & Let's see ... I love walking outside from the spring through the summer, and in the winter I just do Pilates 2 to 3 times a week, and get outside to walk or bike when the weather is nice. I recently went paddleboarding and loved it--I've got to get me one of those! ;) I'm a quasi-vegetarian now, but was vegetarian for four years. I honestly cannot understand bigotry or prejudice of any kind. I guess you could call me pretty liberal these days in my views. I believe that we each have to take care of the earth and our fellow humans, and if every person takes some responsibility, and does whatever he or she personally can do to help our world, we can make a real difference.I am definitely looking for a long-term romantic relationship, someone who wants to be with me, who I can love and care for and who will love me back the same way, not someone who spends a lot of time dating other people. So, if you're a "player" who likes to date lots of women, I'm not going to be interested in you. Now, on the other hand, if you're looking for someone with a great body, a wonderful job, lots of money, and good credit, you will NOT be interested in me, because I have NONE of those things. BUT, if you're looking for a genuine, loving person with a good heart, then we should probably talk. :) I'm a very happy, optimistic person. I love life, and I absolutely try to live each day to the fullest! I enjoy going out for coffee or drinks, lunch or dinner, movies, concerts, museums, even a walk at the park or the river, but I'm open to suggestions ... :) So, if you'd just like to meet for coffee or drinks, or even lunch, to see if there's a "connection" that would be great!

Looking for: man. In age: 52-62

I would like to find my best friend and maybe develop a long-term relationship. I am looking for a man who enjoys the same things I do. I like going to sporting events, movies, and concerts, dining out, cooking, going to local festivals, gardening, working around the house, traveling and anything to do with the water. My long-range plan is to live near the ocean. Being a snowbird is something I think I would enjoy. Remember, you have to have a plan.At this point in my life, I'm not into drama. I enjoy a low maintenace lifestyle. Family is important and I feel you should spend time with them. Also, I'm not into body piercings, tattoos and I haven't been camping in 20 years. I like the clean cut type of man but facial hair is always good. I would like to meet for a cup of coffee, glass of tea/wine in a public place to sit and talk and get to know each other.

Here's the thing, we only get one crack at this! Old enough to know that the small stuff does not matter. In the end it is what we will feel proud of that counts, not the regrets. Make every day count, live like you were dying, like the song says. Love the people around you, treat everybody the way you would like to be treated. getting to know each other. If things click, time will tell.
