About Me

I am very passionate about living life as if it were an adventure. I really don't let life's bumps in the road get to me. Each one is meant to teach me something new and help me to live up to the next challenge to come. My dogs are my best friends. Their unconditional love inspires me to look for that in my personal life. Sports are an important part of my life. They keep me young. I have been playing tennis most of my life and was captain of my high school tennis team. I also like to run which I try to do daily. While I live in the deep South now, I am a transplant from the north. I do miss the snow though, so I travel out west or north during the winter months whenever I can. I love to travel to other parts of the world and experience other cultures.- so inspirational! A few years ago, I used to go on dates where I would run a 5K race with the guy I was dating. Not really to win, but to see if he could keep up (or if I could keep up!). I am not as fast as I used to be so I am sure this is would be no challenge now. I always liked the exhilaration when I finished a race, and it was nice to have someone there who appreciated the same thing. The best part was kicking back with a beer at some local pub afterwards. I am not suggesting this as a first date, but I may suggest it on the third date! A first date is an introduction - a trade of information really. I think a public place like a restaurant or wine bar might be a nice place to meet on a first date.

    I am a christian woman who loves the lord with all my heart, and I love serving in my church! I love little kids, teenagers trust me, and I respect the feelings of others. It's also easy to tell what kind of mood I am in by the music I am listening to or singing...it is very easy to read me. At a concert I am very into it and usually do not want it to end. As of late, I have been listening country but 70's R&B, and todays pop is always great.Then there is American Idol...what can I say I love to watch these kids get better and better. Sliding across the dance floor or just in the living room is not an unusual thing for me to do....music is in my heart and it brings happiness to my day. Excited about life and a new adventure! On a first date...well I like the unusual. Maybe you have to take a drive to pick up special rims for you truck or a part for your bike....I like the conversation in the car while your on a mission! A conversation about your passion in life shows me how serious you are about it. Get me fired up too, and it will be a great first date! Perhaps your passion is restoring things...take me to see what your next venture will be. I am not a woman who wants to be impressed with material things, I am impressed with confidence and passion for life and God!If you love the country and have friends who spend alot of time next to a bon fire take me along, I really enjoy the warm fire and a starlit night!

    Hi! Did my headline freak you out??!! I'm serious! I'm not going to write about all my wonderful qualities (that will be revealed if we move forward, ha ha!) I am serious about wanting to be a couple and live together (when the time is right, of course). I have plenty of room, I'm not looking for someone to take me in!! I just miss being in love and having a husband (or significant other). I'm a one on one gal, and do not care to date around...or have more than one man in my life. Don't be scared, I'm not gonna tell u I'm in love and get all weird on you! It has to be a 2-way thing. I mean, if it's meant to be between 2 ppl, I'm ok with that. It's been 3 or more yrs since I've been with anyone (MY CHOICE). I took out time for myself. I am sooooooo ready for male companionship/friendship (I miss the bond & much more), a relationship/the whole package too---if it should develop. I am a Christian/spiritual lady, and prefer a Christian/spiritual man. I've had 4 knee replacements, but I get around really well, thank God. The only thing I cannot do is kneel for more than a minute of so. I am on disability since Jan of this year( due to knee's). I'll explain more if we move forward. I am considering going to work part time or so....to give it a shot. I need to get a couple of other things addressed first though. I live alone, have my own car, pay my own bills etc.... Please, I would appreciate if YOU had the same :) I am low maintenance, don't have or need expensive things/toys etc... but of course I wouldn't refuse the finer things!! Been there, done that....and money does NOT make ME happy!!! I live a simple life, blue collar worker my whole life. Back to the cleanliness part.... Ex: I was raised to take my shoes off when entering my home or someone else's. Yes, my car is dusty & needs vacuumed etc.... so NO, I'm NOT a neat freak! I just have manners & prefer a cleaner environment :) I miss the bond a man and woman share--we are so OPPOSITE, it's actually fun! ha. I miss looking out for one another, love to "get away" for a day or 3,4 or 5!, I can do most things---just remember my knee's give me fits sometimes. I miss waking up next to the one I love. Communication is extremely important. You shouldn't be sorry if we meet, unless your expectations are way off the charts! U need to go on The Bachelorette for that! I'm not a barbie...but I take care of myself and working on getting in shape (need to tone-up badly) medical things have held me back for a few years-but I'm making progress. :) With a loyal & kind gentleman's help....this process could speed up tremendously! :) I will explain-it's clean, no smut! Enough for now. We can get better acquainted if this works. OK? Thanks for reading..... I'm harmless, really. Just a 51 year old who never thought I'd be alone at this age 40 yrs ago! I am ready for my "new" family ...to blend ours together, and/or create our "own" as well---just "us" or pets too! :) Thanks, and please be honest. Game players.....move on. I have a heart and it's full of love (hint: I'm a very good judge of character--although I do NOT judge, but I trust my ***%) If I get a strong feeling that you are "fake", u will know--because I'll tell you nicely.
