I hope this lets you know a little bit more about me.:) I have always said a good first date is one where you get to know the other person. If your not interested in sharing your story from the start, dont bother. Japanese restaurants have also seemed to me to be the ideal place to have a first date and get to know each other. I'm just not everyone's cup of tea, but I guess that is OK since I am happy without having to have a man in my life. I just would like to have someone to do things with and talk to on a regular basis, but no, I won't lower my standards. Sorry. I am self employed which means I don't make money unless I am working - and I work a lot. My schedule varies and can change at a moment's notice. So, I don't have time to have a pen pal. In my experience, it is better to meet sooner and determine if there is any attraction at all, rather than wasting time developing a "relationship" via chat, *** - and then meet and find out 'WOW' that's not gonna work. Been there/done that. Writing takes up much of my free time, and I live a "writer's life" which means I don't have a lot of material things, but I have what I need. Pets are important to me, so if you have issues with a little pet hair on your Armani suit that's not gonna work. If you show up for a date in overalls, that's not gonna work either. Volunteering is also an important part of my life and I work with some national animal rescues, and I also mentor other writers and host a local writers' group. If you have a life beyond your ***job that helps make the world a better place, you get extra points :) Initially, I tried to respond to everyone who sent an *** became much too time consuming, since apparently some did not read what were my non-negotiables and wrote anyhow. I would rather wait for the right one to make their way to my world, than try to fit the wrong one into those shoes. I should hope that your outlook on relationships would be the same. HA HA!
