Value spending as much time as possible with family and friends. I was married for a very short time and have been divorced for 18 yrs. I made the decision not to date while my son was growing up, I focused on working, buying a home and providing a stable secure environment for my son to grow up in. I grew up where you met someone through friends or shared activities - out in the real world. But today - it seems to happen "virtually"...not my preferred way...but what the heck I'm up for new things! Basically, I'm pretty easy going and handle my life (and what little baggage I have - because I have lived a bit lol) with grace and a free spirit. I'm open to new opportunities and work hard - sometimes I'm told I work too hard. I can keep confidences, conduct myself as appropriate to the situation and my family and friends are held very close to my heart. I'm not interested in "casual hook ups" or serial dating (I believe that's what it's called these days) but rather meeting someone nice on mutual terms and seeing what happens. As someone once told me "Let the art wash over you". I like that statement. Life is a tapestry we build with each experience and after raising my children (I have ***girl and a boy) I find myself now ready to see what else life has to offer!I posted a picture of myself without makeup - fresh up out of bed on a Saturday morning - because I don't believe in presenting only the "made up me" but the "real me" too. Now guys - that takes guts! (Haha) and should clue you in on a couple of things about my nature. What you see is what it is -- and I'm working towards the "best" me for this time in my life. A healthy active lifestyle is being built ... but like most things - it's a work in progress. I am happy with myself - my life - and have a sense of humor about most things. Let's see....I'm outgoing, fun, love to laugh, and NOT a fan of drama. I am comfortable in a little black dress and heels or jeans and cowboy boots. I like burgers and a cold beer...or an upscale restaurant and a good bottle of wine. I enjoy my cottage in the country and enjoy the relaxed lifestyle there...time around the fire pit with a bottle of wine, listening to good music, hosting friends for BBQs and dinner parties. I really enjoy spending time outside. I do need a city fix now and then---new restaurants, live music, theater or the symphony. Sundays at the Farmers Market are fun. I like to travel near and far. There is nothing like a spontaneous road trip...just tossing a bag in the back seat and hitting the road. Maybe the beach? Maybe the mountains? I Hiked the Great Wall several times and took dumpling cooking classes...and of course did some shopping! The trip of a lifetime! I am enjoying my second career as a nurse and recently accepted a school nurse position. I love the kids and give out lots of hugs and band aids every day...wonderful!-7a hospital shifts are a bonus!As happy as I am at this point in my life, I'm ready to be in a relationship. I have worked hard and look forward the next chapter and a little more fun. I'm interested in meeting a kindhearted gentleman, with similar interests, a quick wit...and a good kisser. Is this you?
