I think I am ready to open my heart again. It's kind of scary to start over at 51, but I know that out there somewhere is a kind, warm, nature-loving man of integrity who is looking for someone like me. I'm in a transition phase in my life right now, trying to find the balance between putting my time, energy and passion into activities and people which will bring meaning to the 2nd half of my life vs. the practicalities of everyday existence. I think being able to go for a walk with someone because it is a little more casual and sometimes the things you see along the way can fill in those awkward silences that can sometimes happen on a first date. I think you can usually tell after an initial meeting if the person is someone you would like to get to know (or not).
