About Me

I love animals and I've been involved with a few rescues, (mainly dogs). I love the smell of the ocean and walking in the sand. I also enjoy being in the mountains and wish I could find more time to go there. I like listening to music and going to summer concerts in the park. You don't have to spend a lot of money to enjoy life and have a good time. I love being out doors and socializing with friends. On the flip side, I also like to stay in, cook dinner, snuggle on the couch and watch a good movie. I eat healthy so I can stay healthy!!!My friends say, I have a good heart and I'm a fun person. I do believe they are right!!!! I am a Christian woman and I put God first in my life. I am seeking Christian friendship and hopefully more... I am a restaurant manager, so meeting for coffee is better then going out to dinner...

I'm starting a new life chapter, care to be included? I've had enough of NYC for now. A great place to visit; however, commuting daily, I'm done. It took a while; This is the beginning of " simplicity". Someone who can share ideas/suggestions in a plan. I'm diversified with my interests. I love being on the water (kayaking, boating: sail or power)! I'm a great first mate (in a boat or car). I'm into bicycling, cooking, diverse music, exercise, football, hiking, motorcycle companion, travel, aka ... adventure, I'm not a couch potatoe. I do enjoy movies ... Netflix series ... finished Breaking Bad in 3 wks, I loved that series, I was addicted. I'm waiting for the new series to be added to Netflix that's on HBO right now.Chemistry connects for sure if you have paternal *** soul regardless if you are a parent or not. I am not a parent. Suffocation isn't asked, just intermittent reminder loving pulses. I enjoy being healthy! I'm more outdoors than inside exerciser, e.g. power walks with yoga, hiking, x-country skiing and snowshoeing. It's great to come inside to a delicious home cooked meal via crock pot or what I planned and relax over an entertaining movie or music with a refreshing glass of wine.I'm into well groomed, professional (white or blue collar), soulful, fun, creative and athletic (no super jock, love handles are cool!). I'm 53 and would love to find my soul mate sooner rather than later as we enter retirement! I think having 'independent / alone' time is healthy too. A perfect home would be one level, two wings with each wing being 'our individual space' and center / common area (kitchen, dining, living room). Of course sleep together (hoping snoring isn't an issue ... lol). One level as we are aging, forgo steps. If you own a motorcycle, this is cool, respectively! I'm a great passenger with years of experience. I'm not a tattoo biker chic, Class act!Thank you."Some of the most unexpected little things are the best!" I'd love to see how creative you can be.Thank you.Jane

Looking for: man. In age: 49-59

I think I am ready to open my heart again. It's kind of scary to start over at 51, but I know that out there somewhere is a kind, warm, nature-loving man of integrity who is looking for someone like me. I'm in a transition phase in my life right now, trying to find the balance between putting my time, energy and passion into activities and people which will bring meaning to the 2nd half of my life vs. the practicalities of everyday existence. I really admire people who have chosen a simpler life built on what is important to them, rather than what society today dictates as being important.Part of my vision for the future includes a loving partner to share the journey. I like to spend most of my free time doing things outdoors like hiking, biking, gardening and paddling my kayak, but also enjoy live theatre and music.I tend to favor acoustic music, but like just about anything but rap/hip-hop type stuff and really twangy country. I find cello music really expresses all the feelings of the human heart so I adore cello music. I especially love live music in outdoor venues.I love to eat anything fresh from an organic garden, ethnic food and locally grown and raised stuff. I was raised Catholic but am finding my spiritual needs and growth extending beyond the *** these days.I'm not perfect...I have faults, weaknesses and character and bodily flaws. I'd rather share them with you, for true intimacy comes from feeling safe enough to be vulnerable with another. I'd like you to feel safe enough to share your imperfections as well. I do wonder... ...whether I will meet someone amazing that I want to spend the rest of my life with and who wants to spend the rest of his life with me ...if I will ever have my little eco-friendly home with a huge garden, a few chickens and maybe a goat...(oh, and you!) ...how I can support myself financially doing something I love rather than just working for the paycheck (and just for the record I have no debts except my mortgage)You should message me if:...you are looking for a down-to-earth, grounded woman with simple but important values. Someone you would love to go for a hike or camping with, or spend the day playing in the garden with, cooking dinner with or just relaxing on the beach with.If you are a kind, honest, man of integrity, who cherishes the out-of-doors as much as I do, I think you should say hi.I'm sorry but please pass me by if you are a smoker or have a past, present or future substance abuse problem. I have been deeply hurt by someone's issues with alcohol and I just don't have it in me to ride that roller-coaster again. In general,"Hey", " Hi there", or "what's up?" are really not likely to get my attention, so please...if you would really like a reply, make the effort to say something of substance. Good communication is the foundation of every successful relationship, and by not making the effort on the first try, leads me to believe that you are not at all interested in this integral piece of the puzzle. Just sayin' I enjoy a nice walk and talk for a first date. I think being able to go for a walk with someone because it is a little more casual and sometimes the things you see along the way can fill in those awkward silences that can sometimes happen on a first date. I think you can usually tell after an initial meeting if the person is someone you would like to get to know (or not).
