I've never been good at filling these kinds of things out. You only get one little white box to make a good first impression, right? So here's to making it count! I don't think there's anyone out there quite like me. (I know... it's starting out a little cliche.) I can be indecisive, but once I know what I want, I can and will do anything to achieve it. Nothing is impossible. On this note, I would like to mention that I'm also a complete optimist. It makes no sense to me to be completely negative about life, even if you happen to be a realist. I'm a "big picture" kind of person and I try not to get wrapped up on the little things. And drama is just, well, dramatic. Granted -- I am female... but I do try to leave that to the actors. What I've told you so far is merely a small basis and foundation to who I am, a sneak peak, if you will. Take a chance, send me a message, and we'll see what happens.

OOOOkkkkaaayy... What I am about to say may make me sound like a prude, but I finally have a list of things I want in a guy and to be honest, I am not sure that he exists out there. So, if you make it through the first paragraph and still like what you see, I promise that the second paragraph is more enjoyable.I don't like to drink. I don't sleep around. I don't smoke. And most importantly, God is my number one. I want a guy who will put God even before me and his family. Naturally, his family will be a close, close second. I want a guy who will treat me right and be honest with me even if it hurts my feelings. I really am not down to settle for someone because I am lonely or want someone to cuddle with at night. I will stay single if I can't find my guy. :/Okay! The fun paragraph! I am Lauran with an A (there is a story behind that A). I'm 22 and going to school full-time for a vet tech degree. I have high hopes for my future and I cannot wait to see where it goes. I am big into fitness. I hit up the gym six out of seven days! I love trying new things even if they scare me half to death! I would love to travel the world and immerse myself in other cultures. :)Gracy and beauty can fool you, but a woman who respects the Lord should be praised.Proverbs 31:30 Something local or a festival close by would work. Even going to shop for food and then cooking dinner together would be fun. :) It honestly relies on the guy and our chemistry together. I would probably try anything once. I can tell you that I DON'T want to go to dinner and a movie. Maybe cheap cheap Thunder tickets to a crappy game and then we sneak away early (because the Thunder is kicking butt, naturally) and grab a bite to eat somewhere downtown where we can watch the game end. Like something easy that doesn't require endless planning!

I suppose it is time for a profile update. Since I first wrote my profile a lot has changed and I am most definitely in a different place in my life. To start, in the last seven months I have moved all over. I have been in Philly for a very short time and am still adjusting and finding my way around. I just started my Masters degree and am very excited about where this is going to take me. I still don't have a super clear vision of my end job but I feel like this is a good step. As for hobbies and other things that they say people on here would like to know, I like traveling and would like for that to be a constant part of my life. I also like world events, watching the news, football, gymnastics, camping, snowboarding, and am always open to new fun things! I enjoy curling up with a good book or movie and am not really a big party person. I am much more into a low key pub or wine bar over a club when I do go out, but I don't find drinking a necessity to have a good time. I have some of the best family and friends who I love very much and am super close to. I like to think I am an open book and I love to talk..about everything, which the people close to me like to give me crap for, but hey, how else are you supposed to communicate? I greatly enjoy conversation of taboo topics like religion, money, or family values along with all the small talk of sports, weather, school and everything else. I realize 95% of Americans hate politics and rarely want to even discuss it, but I would love for my man to at least listen to what is going on in our world... occasionally. I am not totally sure what I am looking for as far as a relationship right now and I feel like the options on here are limiting. I am not looking for a random hook up and I am not looking to marry the next person I have coffee with. I am realistic about online dating and really just want to meet some good people. If that turns into something great, if we become just friends, fantastic, if we never talk again, that's okay too and it wasn't meant to be. I figure I should give you a heads up of what I am looking for in a man. To start, in general I expect men to have an opinion and response. I love intelligent men and would prefer someone with an education who values intellect as much as I do.I like company and want someone to spend my time with, but space and independence are important as well. I am looking for someone who is ambitious, educated, active, caring and confident or is willing to develop these with me by your side.I am a born and raised Washingtonian and love everything about the Northwest and am a bit sad to have had to leave it for a while. I am super laid back and low maintenance and love men who share those qualities to. I love being active and doing fun things, preferably with someone, and am honestly just trying to get back into going to the gym or finding some other physical activity that I actually enjoy, as a retired gymnasts it is hard to find something equivalent. I am a true homebody though, and love staying home and just relaxing. My ideal first date would involve meeting at a neutral location like a coffee shop or cool brewery where we could have some initial conversation and get to know each other. After that I would love to do something active-it doesn't really matter what it is, but something like mini golf. Some sort of activity that is fun and relaxing and gives you something to do but also allows for a chance to really meet someone and learn if your compatible. Following this, assuming everything is going well, a nice, but not too fancy dinner to finish the evening. :)
