First of all, I'm somewhat new to the whole online dating thing and still not sure how I feel about it yet. I work a lot during the week and that makes it a little hard to meet people, which is why I decided to give this a try. I'm looking for a fun, nice guy that ultimately becomes my best friend. Someone to take a run with after work, get dinner, watch tv, and do fun things with. I want someone who has a good balance of motivation in life, but knows how to kick back and have a good time. If you can show me new things and have a good sense of humor, you might be who I'm looking for. I want the whole marriage and kids thing one day, but for now, I want to try new things and would love to do a little traveling. In my free time, I like to go to Twins games, run, golf, try new restaurants, have drinks with friends, and spend time with my family. I also kill it at the blackjack table. Message me if you'd like to know more! Dinner, drinks, sporting event...no expectations, just time to get to know one another and have fun!

I suppose it is time for a profile update. Since I first wrote my profile a lot has changed and I am most definitely in a different place in my life. To start, in the last seven months I have moved all over. I have been in Philly for a very short time and am still adjusting and finding my way around. I just started my Masters degree and am very excited about where this is going to take me. I still don't have a super clear vision of my end job but I feel like this is a good step. As for hobbies and other things that they say people on here would like to know, I like traveling and would like for that to be a constant part of my life. I also like world events, watching the news, football, gymnastics, camping, snowboarding, and am always open to new fun things! I enjoy curling up with a good book or movie and am not really a big party person. I am much more into a low key pub or wine bar over a club when I do go out, but I don't find drinking a necessity to have a good time. I have some of the best family and friends who I love very much and am super close to. I like to think I am an open book and I love to talk..about everything, which the people close to me like to give me crap for, but hey, how else are you supposed to communicate? I greatly enjoy conversation of taboo topics like religion, money, or family values along with all the small talk of sports, weather, school and everything else. I realize 95% of Americans hate politics and rarely want to even discuss it, but I would love for my man to at least listen to what is going on in our world... occasionally. I am not totally sure what I am looking for as far as a relationship right now and I feel like the options on here are limiting. I am not looking for a random hook up and I am not looking to marry the next person I have coffee with. I am realistic about online dating and really just want to meet some good people. If that turns into something great, if we become just friends, fantastic, if we never talk again, that's okay too and it wasn't meant to be. I figure I should give you a heads up of what I am looking for in a man. To start, in general I expect men to have an opinion and response. I love intelligent men and would prefer someone with an education who values intellect as much as I do.I like company and want someone to spend my time with, but space and independence are important as well. I am looking for someone who is ambitious, educated, active, caring and confident or is willing to develop these with me by your side.I am a born and raised Washingtonian and love everything about the Northwest and am a bit sad to have had to leave it for a while. I am super laid back and low maintenance and love men who share those qualities to. I love being active and doing fun things, preferably with someone, and am honestly just trying to get back into going to the gym or finding some other physical activity that I actually enjoy, as a retired gymnasts it is hard to find something equivalent. I am a true homebody though, and love staying home and just relaxing. My ideal first date would involve meeting at a neutral location like a coffee shop or cool brewery where we could have some initial conversation and get to know each other. After that I would love to do something active-it doesn't really matter what it is, but something like mini golf. Some sort of activity that is fun and relaxing and gives you something to do but also allows for a chance to really meet someone and learn if your compatible. Following this, assuming everything is going well, a nice, but not too fancy dinner to finish the evening. :)
